Sometimes people feel tired, sick even. Sometimes they don't want to go to school because of that sickness. A feeling in the pit of ones stomach that prevents them from even getting out of bed.
Today was one of those days.
I didn't feel good at all. My head felt like it was slammed into a wall several times and then bulldozed into a ground of sharp stones. My stomach, well, I didn't even feel like I had one.
That's how I'm still at home, in bed, and missing school. No matter how much I protested, Mum wouldn't let me go. Even after I told her about the project we had to do in Advanced Chemistry today!
It was the typical sick day. After being forced to stay home I decided I may as well make the most of this day. So I hunkered down and slipped the Psych season three disc into my laptop.
My mum had made me ramen before she left to work and brought it up to me along with a cup of juice.
Everyone knows I'm clumsy and will screw everything up.
Guess what?
That's exactly what I did. As I reached out to turn up the volume, my elbow hit my cup of juice, making it fall over onto my laptop.
Great.
My bedspread was soaked in juice along with my laptop. Let's just hope I could save the Psych disc.
I got out of bed, or tried to anyway, but I didn't have a strong grip on my laptop and it fell to the floor, knocking into my ramen during the process and making it fly everywhere.
This day is the worst thing that could happen to me. Nothing good will ever come out of it and I could already tell.
I struggled to get out of bed and when I did, I realized I was covered in ramen. Great. It was even in my hair!
I walked out the door and stubbed my toe on a corner. Walking off the pain, I started to walk downstairs, only to trip and head face first down all the steps.
"Ow." I moaned, getting up from my crumbled position on the floor. This is what happens when you're sick and having a bad day.
I grabbed all the cleaning supplies and went back up to my room to clean up the mess. I soaked up all the juice and threw away the ramen. Then I turned to my laptop, which had a cracked screen and juice all over it.
Well great, now my laptop's broken.
I sent out a quick text to my mom, telling her what happened and then got up to go shower.

I was bandaging up my finger, which I had cut with a knife while chopping up tomatoes for dinner, when the door bell rang.
"I got it." Mum sang as she drifted towards the door.
So far, this day has been terrible. I slipped in the shower, banging my head on the floor and earning a slight concussion. The neighbour's cat but me while I was taking out the trash, and now I'm chopping my fingers with knives! Can this day get any worse?!
"Honey, A kid from school says he wants to talk to you!" Mum called from the door.
I stand corrected.
I walked over to the door, pulling my hair up into a messy bun in the process. The bun came undone and I flung my hair tie across the room in anger.
My mom giggled. "Someone's pms-ing." She whispered as she glided past me, disappearing into the kitchen.
I ignored her. It's been a crappy day.
