Sir Krieg spread out the known territory of the Forgotten Forest . He studied it harshly. He mesmerized every detail of known land. A bit over half of the map was empty. Nobody has gotten very far into the forest.
If you wanted to start a search you either didn't come back at all or was too traumatized from "witnessing horrid creatures killing your friends die in front of you" stated a surviving knight.
That made the scavenger for the princess even more dangerous. There were too many risks. And possibly too many casualties.
Sir Krieg enjoys working alone. He believes that he will be able to cover more ground and be less likely to die than with a team. He has dealt with enough emotional trauma to go with men whom he might share a bond with and watch them die.
The root of explorations was set. Although he would have to travel through unmarked land it would be easy the most part of the journey. Or it should be.
Now all he had to do was gather his supplies and his stallion.
