Jax props his elbows on the table and rest his head against his hand. He looks around taking in the sight of around. Several people crowd the mall cafe. Most are talking on their cell phones, eating, or talking to their friends with them. He sighs while narrowing his eyes. Andrew walks up to the table and takes a seat across from him.
"Hey. What's up?" He asks while tossing a sandwich bag with a sandwich in it at him. He catches it and puts it on the tabletop in front of him. Andrew raises an eyebrow at his brother.
"Aren't you going to eat something?"
"No."
"You should. It's been two days,Jax. I'm worried about you."
"I'll be alright." Jax gently kicks his brother's leg. Andrew looks up at him and tilts his head to the side and smilies. He quickly opens the bag he sat on the table and takes out a plastic container with a piece of strawberry cake. He opens the lid and starts eating.
Two young girls around their age stops talking at their table and turns to look at them. The girl on the left is average height with curly purple locks while the girl on the right is shorter then the other girl. Her light brown locks cover one of her eyes. Both girls stand up and make their way toward the boys. The purple headed girl clears her throat and tilts her head to the side while her friend stands next to Jax. Andrew stops what he's doing and turns his attention to her.
"Hey, Andrew. I saw your boxing match with John ealier today. You were awesome." She says, her cheeks fading to a light pink shade. He slightly blushes at her compliment.
"Lucy, how are you?" He asks. Lucy blinks as her friend Lilly rambles on about something.
"So, that's how I got a spot on the cheerleading team." Jax looks up at her, a bored expression on his face.
"Anyway, enough about me. We're having a party tonight. So you wanna come? We could hang out all night long." She says while wrapping an arm around his shoulder and winking at him. He fakes a yawn which, causes her to frown once again. Then, she looks down at his arm, a smirk on her face. Her eyes trace the scars along his skin up to where his leather jacket sleeve is rolled up. Suddenly, she grabs his wrist and moves his arm closer to her face. She raises an eyebrow at him.
"What happened? Did you do this?" She asks. Jax immediately tenses up and Andrew stops talking and snaps his head toward his sibling.
"No, and also it's none of business either way." Jax snaps. He pulls his arm out of her grip and rolls down his jacket sleeve.
"Yeah, sure. Do you want attention?" Andrew immediately stands up and gets between him and her. He places a hand on his brother's shoulder while narrowing his eyes at Lilly. He points his index finger in her face.
"My brother is none of your conern and what he or any of my family members do is none of your business, girly. He doesn't want or need attention. He's the toughest person I know and my role model. So, take your ugly attitude and shove it up your nose."
Jax stands up and leaves the cafe area. His brother follows him and looks up at his older sibling.
"Hey, don't let her get to you. She's the ugliest person I know." He says while playfully punching his brother's shoulder. Jax smirks and wraps an arm around his shoulder. He puts him in a headlock and messes up his hair with his knuckles.
"Don't worry about me, little brother."
