{Present place: Wintergate apartment complex 12 time:5:40 p.m.}
You follow the boys past some buildings until you come to apartment complex 12. You follow them around the back alleyway, your eyes taking in the building's boarded up windows and routes set up along the rooftops. You turn to a back area with a basketball court. A fence blocks off the rest of the city. You can see a cord wrapped around an opening in the fence leading to a trail going into the city.
Suddenly, one of the boys grabs your arm and pulls you beside him. You look at him as he points to a rooftop. Someone is standing on the rooftop with a gun. They appear to be dressed in black and something seems to be connected to a rope. You look around to see th at Andrew is gone.
"Just stay where you are." He says. You nod your head. He steps away from you. He says. You nod your head. He steps away from you. He raises his hands up in surround while approaching the person. They look down at him and steps toward the edge of the roof.
"I mean you no harm. What do you want from us?" He asks.
"I want your hideout and that new person you're dragging around with you." They reply. He shrugs his shoulders.
"Yeah, not going to happen. So, leave or we feed you to some of our neighborly undead. They absolutely love a new soul to meet." He says. The strange person laughs. You immediately see Andrew seek up behind them. He grabs the rope to the overhanging pole and wraps it around their neck. He ties it into a knot while they struggle to breath. Their face immediately turns a bright purple. He pushes it off the roof. You hear a snap and their body goes limp.
pure horror circulates through your veins. Andrew jumps down from the roof landing gracefully on his feet. He goes to walk past you, but you grab his arm. He turns to look at you.
"How could you do that?"
"Well.... They were going to steal our home and kill us. Better them than us. It's not a big deal." He replies. He pulls away from you and he heads inside. You look at Luke.
"Look, we're packing our bags and leaving the city tommorrow. Come on." He says. You watch him head inside.
