I think this cabin is demigod-dream proof. Not that I'm complaining.
I try to sit up, and then I feel a weight on my arm. I turn to see Skylar, still where she was last night, only with a little seahorse stuffed animal. She must have snuck into her side of the room and got back in without waking me up. Pretty sneaky.
I carefully move her, and get up. I go over to my never-ending closet and pick out a blue t-shirt and jeans. Looking over my shoulder, I see her still sleeping, and I head out the door.
I go down the hallway to see some doors open and left ajar. So, some of the Army is awake.
When I head to the living room, I see my theory was correct. 7 figures, Thalia, Travis, Conner, Beckndorf, Silena, Katie, and Luke are gathered. Luke and Thalia are playing checkers, Conner is drawing a mustache on Travis, while Katie sits next to him, trying not to laugh, and Silena is snuggled up in Beckondorf's arms, watching him fiddle with some type of scrap metal. I clear my throat, and they all turn to me.
"Morning" I say brightly with a smile. Even though I'm still half awake.
"Mornin'" They all mumble, clearly not excited. Footsteps come from the kitchen, and down the hall. Ryan brushes by me with a cup of hot chocolate.
"Morning" He mutters. I nod. I go and sit on a lounge chair and watch Thalia beat Luke in checkers, waiting for the rest of the group.
Clarrise is the first one up. She comes in and plops down on the couch, looking still half awake. I've never seen Clarrise without a murderous expression on her face...
Alice comes out of her room 10 minutes later, yawning and rubbing her eyes.
"hooorrnihhhgg" She yawns. Fortunatley, I know the launguage 'yawn' to make out "morning"
"Morning Sleeping Beauty" I chuckle. She sends me an annoyed face.
"Here, Ill make you some coaco" Ryan says, leading her to the kitchen without ramming her into the wall.
Skylar comes out last, still in her nightclothes, holding her seahorse. She looks up and me and gives me a "I just woke up, deal with it" smile, and I laugh.
"Wha' we doin' today?" She asks. The rest of the group turns to me, clearly wondering the same thing.
"Well, you know how most of the demigods have weapons?" She nods.
"So, we gotta get the people who don't have weapons, have weapons." Her face brightens up, as if having a weapon made her feel better.
" Come on guys" The group all falls in behind me, and I lead them to the Cabin armory.
"Pick any one you like." Alice immediatley goes over to the daggers and goes through them until she finds one she likes. She finally picks one with the handle in the shape of the top of a cadecus, with the wings holding the 12 inch blade. She walks back to the recruits, grinning.
I see Skylar looking at the swords, and I walk over. She looks through until she finds the one she desires. I laugh when I see it. It's another version of Riptide, kind of like a replica. I tell her what it does as a pen, and her eyes widen. It also grows so no matter how oldshe gets, it will always fit her. She gets into a habit of capping and uncapping the pen. I hold it once she's done, and look on the handle.
"It's called Hurricane" Skylar nods, and takes it back. She puts into her pocket. I smile, and she grins like the little girl she is. The rest of the group go off to train, and I bend down to her eye level.
"Wanna go do something else?"
