Skylar's POV

The first thing I feel is electricity, energizing but painful, like a douse of ice water. My eyes shoot open and I let out a small yelp.

I sit up, feeling pain in my chest and I grimace, clutching my abdomen and staggering to a post. I trip over something, and that's when I see the chain attached to my ankle. I tug at it a few times, and I hear a chuckle. Not like a Percy-like chuckle, that makes me feel loved and warm. This chuckle makes me shiver, and the first thing I think is bad guy. I'm right, as, what did Percy call him? Crocus? Cronies? Something along those lines.

He appears out of nowhere, literally, like appearing from the shadows of the damp, moldy smelling cell. He walks gracefully up to me, stroking my cheek with his ice-cold finger. I clench my teeth and turn my head from him. He laughs, and I shiver. Definitely a bad guy.

"Well, look here, we have ourselves a cute one." He chuckles. I bare my teeth at him.

"My brother's gonna come, and he's gonna kick your ugly skinny-" I feel a sharp slap to my face and I wince. He looks real mad now.

"Listen you little brat, I don't have to worry about your brother. In fact, I don't have to worry about anyone coming after you. Take a look." He waves his hand, and the wall becomes an image screen, showing the rubble of the infirmary. I see something, or someone, being pulled out of the rubble, a stake like thing in their chest, face and body mangled beyond recognization. My breath hitches in my chest. Someone died?!

The scene changes to my brother in the forest, crying his heart out. Hearing him makes my heart hurt.

"Why is he crying so hard? Who died?" I almost yell. The creepy guy chuckles, and I see a campfire, burning something sea green, like fabric. I realize that it's a shroud. A Poseidon kid shroud. The view zooms in and I see a familiar face, though scratched and bruised. Mine, my face. How is this possible?!?!

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I shriek. He laughs and I shiver, cowering into the shadows of my cell, the metallic clinking of chains echoing in the room.

"I told you I don't have to worry about your brother or anybody coming to rescue you. I made a decoy of you, killed her, and transported you here, to Tartarus. Now, you will be of great use to me. After all, no one will expect a little girl to hold the spirit of Kronos."

So sorry for the last part being so sad. trust me, Skylar wasn't supposed to die until way after, but now that I think about it, it was better this way. So, I'll continue updating, but it will just be slower because I have a lot going on. We have a new puppy, and I haven't even started doing my summer homework. I REALLY don't wanna be the one person who doesn't do their summer homework, so yah... Peace!
