She can sing

Kaycee was never the insecure kind. She was all about positivity and self care. She didn't care what people say about her not wearing makeup. She didn't care when people say she couldn't dance or that she was horrible at it. She didn't care when people say that she will never succeed with her career. She didn't care when people say that she has a horrible voice or that she sucked at singing.

Why?

Because she had Sean Lew. Sean was the perfect boyfriend to her. He was the one who would support her career in dancing. She was one of the biggest inspirations he had in dancing. With or without makeup he never fails to tell her that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He loved hearing her voice, her laughter brings him joy.

"Kayc, I'm not telling you that you shouldn't trust Sean. I'm just really worried" Tahani said once Alex's class was over.

Sean had the last solo which he killed and Kaycee felt so proud of him. But as soon as he finished, he no longer ran to her. His eyes immediately searched for someone else and ran up to her. The two started talking in their own little world and Kaycee felt her heart drop at the sight. Thankfully, Tahani rushed to her best friend to check up on her. She knew Kaycee would hurt and it pains her that she has to see this.

Kaycee gave her a smile that didn't reach her eyes. "It's alright, T. They're just friends"

"Really close one at that, Kayc. Everything changed once she came" Tahani said, glaring at Tate.

Kaycee couldn't deny what she just said. Once Sean's childhood friend was back, they were inseparable. Their parties of two turned into a party of one. Their endless marathons of Friends became an unfinished viewing of an episode. Their long and deep conversations at night were replaced by four word replies.

To make matters worse? Tate was in love with her boyfriend and she always was. It didn't take a genius to find out. Everyone could tell that Tate liked Sean.

Everyone except Sean.

Sometimes Kaycee feels that Sean isn't oblivious to his friend's feelings. Sean was the smartest guy she knew. She wouldn't call him genius for nothing. She just feels that he didn't want to acknowledge them because it would ruin their friendship. Kaycee gets it, really she does. But she wishes she would tell Tate to stop when she flirts with Sean. It sucked when the same girl hits on her boyfriend and he doesn't do anything to try and stop it.

Kaycee sighed, water filling her eyes. "I know, but they're friends. I don't want to get in the way of their friendship"

Tahani frowned but nodded. "I'll see you later Kayc, I have to go early. Take care"

She gave her a hug and the two exchanged goodbyes. After everyone left, she sat in the corner alone waiting for Sean to finish talking with Tate. He promised her to take her home today and they could have a movie night. She felt so happy once he told her that they were finally spending time together again. But right now? She never felt so alone. She was so busy with her thoughts that she didn't notice the presence that appeared in front of her. He placed a hand on her shoulder and she looked up feeling relieved that he was ready to bring her home.

"Come on, Kayc. I'll take you home" Julian said, giving the girl a sympathetic smile.

Despite her disappointment, she smiled and shook her head at him. "No thanks, Jul. Sean promised to take me home today"

"I'm sorry, Kaycee. But I can't just stand there and watch you wait for Sean to finally have senses. I can take you home." Julian replied and Kaycee bit her lip to stop a sob that was trying to escape.

"But you live the other way and I don't wanna-"

"It's alright, Kayc. It really is." Julian replied. "I don't want to see my little sister in this position ever again"
