Chapter Six

"Two more Meteor's hit earth last night, one close to the first sight the other one of the other end of tow....." My mom turned down the TV and turned and glared at the four boys that were sitting in the living room.

"What were you doing out there?" She yelled at us. "Didn't I tell you to say away from the site?" She looked at Adam and I. "What would have happened if the meteor hit closer to the site then it did. There is nothing known about those rocks what if you get sick from them or if you die from them." Mom said fuming. "Adam I could see this coming from you but not from you Felix."

"Sorry Mom." I sighed knowing that she was disappointed in me.

"Sorry isn't going to cut it. You could have died."

                "But I didn't."

"I know you didn't Felix, but I don't want to relive almost losing you again." She said with tears in her eyes.

"I know Mom." I looked down at the floor.

"Frank, Ron can you please go home. I have to talk with my boys." She said wiping a tear from her face.

"Sure thing." Ron said smiling at her. "I'm sorry about putting your son's in danger." He told her. As Frank and him stood up and walked out of the house.

Mom waited until the where both out of the house before she flung herself at us and hugged us. One in one arm and the other in the other.  "Oh my babies." I could feel mom trying not to cry as she held us close.

"We're sorry Mom." I heard Adam tell her. "We were stupid and that's that."

                "He right."

Mom pulled away, her eyes watery. "I just don't want anything to happen to you to." She smiled at us. "So please, be kind to my poor old heart, stay away from the meteors."

"Yes Ma'am." Adam and I said at the same time.

"Good boys." She smiled at us, as she wiped the one tear that managed to come out. "Now why don't you two go up stairs and wash up, while I reheat dinner for you?"

"Sounds good." Adam said getting up from the couch and headed up the stairs.

"Hey Mom." I said before getting up.

She turned towards me. "What is it Dear?"

"I'm worried about the meteor's." I told her. "I feel like this is only the start of something." I told her.

She put a hand on my shoulder. "Well we'll just have to wait and find out." She sighed. "Now run along." She kissed me on my cheek before walking out of the living room.

I sighed but headed up stairs like Mom told me only to run into Adam who was heading back down. He looked up at me and glared. "So what were you doing stalking me and my friends?" he said pushing me up against the railing of the stairs.

"I wanted a chance to see the meteor site and since I didn't know where it hit and you did, I took the chance." I told him looking down at the floor. Stand up for yourself.  Something inside of me told me. You Superman for god sakes, you can take him.

Adam glared at me but let go of me. "I better not catch you following me again." He said as he walked down the steps. "Because, even though you're mommy's little boy.  I have no problem beating you into a bloody pulp."

I fixed my shirt before I walked up stairs and into the bathroom. I grabbed a washcloth and walked to the sink where I stopped and looked into the mirror. I looked at my reflection and sighed. "At least I still look like me." I said wetting the washcloth. My eyes widened when I remember the feeling of my energy, no my whole life was being drained from me by the gem that I named Kryptonite. My arms started to shake and the washcloth fell from hand and into the sink. I felt like I was dying.

"Felix, come on the foods getting cold." My mom called up the stairs.

"I'll be right down." I sighed as I shook my head. I reached down and grabbed washcloth and started to wash my face with it.

I walked down the stairs and joined my family at the table. "There's the princess." Adam laughed at me.

                "Adam."

I sighed as I sat down. "Don't worry about it." I told mom as I took some of the mac and cheese and put it on my plate.

All of the sudden the doorbell rang. "Now who would that be?" Mom sounded upset that dinner was getting interrupted.

"I'll get it." I stood back up and walked towards the door. I reached out for the door handle and opened the door to see a man dressed in a suit at the door. "Hello there?"

"Hello, My I speak to Mr. and Mrs Walker."

"Ummm. Yeah just a moment." I turned back towards my parents. "Mom, Dad the door's for you."

My dad got up and walked towards the door. "Hello?"

"Sir, I'm Agent Tomas. From the Tec Lab in the City."

                OH Crap!
