Chapter Seven
"Sir, I'm Agent Tomas. From the Tec Lab in the City." The man dressed in black told my dad. "We wanted to talk to about the meteor's that hit tonight and the night before.
"Oh yes sir, I was starting to wonder if you guys were going to show up or not."
"We've been busy analyzing the rocks." His voice didn't have any emotion in them what so ever. "So you we're the once who saw the meteor the first night fly past your window, right."
"Yes that was me and my son." My dad turned around and nodded to Adam. "Adam come here."
Adam got up slowly from his spot at the table and looked at Mom, who just nodded her head as she watched him walk up to us. "What's up?" Adam seemed a little off as he looked at the man in black with wide eyes.
"We just need to ask you a few questions."
Adam took a deep breath. "Yeah sure."
"Why don't we go sit on the couch?" My Dad said opening the door the rest of the way and stepping out of the way for Agent Tomas to walk in. I watched as they walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. "Alright fire away."
Agent Tomas looked at my dad funny before reaching into his pocket and grabbing out a small notebook. "Alright tell me what was happening before you saw the meteor."
"Well, it was a youngest son's sixteenth birthday yesterday and we were sitting down for some cake." I sighed. I don't think he needs to know that. "And that's when something zoomed past the window."
Agent Tomas held up his hand. "What window did you see it out of."
My dad leaned forward so he could see into the dining room. "The one off the side there." He said pointing to the window.
"Alright and after that, what happened."
"Well there was a blast, and it felt like the whole world was shaking for a moment. That's when Adam ran to the window and said that it looked like something was on fire. So we went out to check on what it was and that's when we stumbled on the meteor out there in the woods. It was a blackish color, and had glowing green rocks on it."
Agent Tomas finish writing something down before he turned and looked up at my Dad. "Have either of you two experienced anything weird since the meteor crashed?"
"You mean like superpowers." Adam cocked his head.
"Something like that." Agent Tomas sighed.
"Nope, not that I noticed." Dad smiled at him.
"Same here." Adam smiled at him.
