Beast Player Erin

Okay, okay. What is this show almost nobody has heard of? Erin is about, well, Erin. The show goes into her life and how she grows up. Throughout her whole life she wants to be a beast healer, like her mother. There is quite a bit of racism in this show. Erin and her mother, Soh-Yon, have green hair and green eyes - from the People in the Mist. People believe the People of the Mist are tricksters, and they believe they use some strange magic for their tricks. Even though Erin is only half, she still is told cruel things by adults (even though she's a kid! Seriously!)

This anime is based in a type of kingdom. Half the kingdom is split between the Grand Duke's land - who owns the army - and the true ruler of the kingdom, the "True Kings." The "True Kings" have golden hair and golden eyes, and are from a race beyond the mountains.

Apparently the first "True King," a woman named Jeh, crossed the mountains and brought with her the Ohju, the royal beasts. The native beasts, the Tohda, are powerful lizard creatures that are used for war. The Ohju are the only ones who can eat the Tohda. However, Erin discovers why Jeh came to this land.

This anime has a total of fifty episodes, having an almost one year run from January to December of 2009. Please don't be fooled by its art style, it's not nearly as childish as it seems. Stay until at least episode seven! In the beginning, Erin is ten years old. Then there is a time skip, and she is fourteen. The last time skip is when she is eighteen. Just give this work of genius a shot, you won't regret it!
