   IT HAD NOW BEEN APPROXIMATELY
six days after the storm hit the outskirts of Atlanta, and six days since Nyvia, Magna, and Luke were welcomed into Rick Grimes group. It didn't take Nyvia very long to figure out that Rick was the true ringleader of the group - she was quite good at reading people. Although, there was one individual she had troubles reading. Shane Walsh.

It often irritated Nyvia when she felt that she couldn't read into people. Especially with the way the world was now, she considered it as a skilled asset to have. She almost used it as a defence mechanism, so that she knew at least a bit about whom she'd be dealing with.

The people around the camp they had set up were preparing for the bonfire they were going to have later that night. Andrea and Amy were out trying to catch fish, Shane was currently occupied trying to teach Carl something down by the shore, and she wasn't too sure where Rick and Luke and the others were at the time.

"Do you think there's something they're not telling us?" Nyvia questioned Magna as the two began to clean fish at the creaky wooden camp table that were caught from last night.

"What do you mean?" Magna asked and took a small pause from filleting the fish in front of her.

Nyvia shrugged. "People always have something to hide, especially in larger numbers like this group."

"They seem like nice people. They did let us in when they could of killed us on sight, Nyvia." Magna pointed out.

"You're right," Nyvia agreed. "I'm probably just overthinking." She added.

Nyvia had the tendency to overthink things a lot. In any given situation, she would let whatever was happening process in her head over and over again. It was a bad habit of hers.

Nyvia finished filleting the last fish that was on the table that her and Magna were seated at and the two stuffed the raw fillets into a plastic bag, placing it in the semi-warm, and only somewhat cold cooler the group had left.

Rick, Daryl, Glenn, and T-Dog were out on a mission at some department store in the city where T-Dog had cuffed Daryl's brother, Merle, on top of a rooftop a day or so previous. From what Nyvia heard of the man, he sounded like a real asshole, but he was just a person — and she considered that a blessing since the dead definitely outnumbered the amount of living left in the world.

Nyvia heard raised voices coming from not too far off from her and Magna up the hill, causing a wave of panic to set into her. The last thing they needed was to draw walkers to where they were camped out.

Nyvia retrieved her axe off of the bench beside her, and Magna retrieved her knife as well and the pair ran in a hurry up the hill to see what the commotion was.

Lately the weather had been feeling like it was up to a hundred degrees a day. The heat and the lack of nutritious food and water was sure to put people on the edge, but Nyvia felt like there was always some sort of problem in the group.
