She gets two weeks of relatively hassle free murder. The vigilantes arrive too late, or they're too slow. When they do try to stop her, they seem to give up quicker, or run slower. Everything in her head is still mush, but Clara can't help but feel there's something building behind the scenes that she doesn't know of.
She gets two weeks of normal routine before the compound gets stormed.
By any means of luck, it happens during the day, when none of them are forcefully bound to a bed. No one alerts any of them of something going wrong, but the panicked rush of lab coats and security boots are in no way discreet.
Many of them, even the older ones, get yelled and punished for getting distracted by the commotion in the halls.
Clara, at the time of incident, is sparring. She's in the standard uniform given, a white shirt that's too big for her and falls down to her thighs, and fitted spandex bottoms. She's still waiting to spar, lined up against a wall along with the others, when the woman who handcuffs them normally bursts into the room, her glasses slipping from her face, and blonde hair falling into her eyes. "Rozanova" She calls, her eyes wide with panic.
Clara tries not to let her own surprise slow her down as she quickly follows the woman.
As they walk through the halls, people run past them in their own world of panic. The bright lights above flicker, and Clara swears she can feel vibrations from some sort of explosion not so far away from them. Her bare feet slap against the cold tiles as the blonde spits orders at her in rapid Russian to get changed. Someone has managed to break in and wreak havoc. The older ones will help, as there's more than one person, but she shouldn't count on teamwork.
Clara's dressed quickly, but after that, she doesn't have much idea what to do. Deal with the issue, obviously, but where that was happening was lost to her, so she just runs towards whatever everyone else seemed to be running away from. The lights flash on and off again more rapidly, and the rumbling gets both louder and stronger the closer she gets.
As the halls get emptier, she focuses on following the noise and general terror, which find her more quickly than she had expected.
She narrowly misses a man she doesn't know get thrown through a wall. He nearly takes her with him, as he crashes into the next wall, and slumps forward, either dead or knocked out, but Clara manages to stumble backwards.
In the now gaping hole in the wall adjacent, she's met with only a boy. Dark hair, blue eyes, he looks to be close to her own age. His cargo pants and t-shirt almost go unnoticed to Clara, before she spots the Superman logo on his shirt.
His gaze hardens as his eyes meet hers, and he step through the hole to deal with her next.
The super strength is obvious, both from the hole in the wall and the symbol on his shirt. She knows of the likes of Superman but she's never seen this boy before, not during her own run-ins or on the news. If things were different, she wouldn't have been surprised if he had wound up in the same facility as her.
Sometimes, heroes are chatty, a bit cocky too, if they're willing to strike up a conversation mid-battle. Batman isn't a talker obviously, but Robin would often taunt her, or tell stupid jokes or word plays (as if normal English wasn't hard enough for her already). This guy, however, didn't say anything except grunt or scream at her.
He charges at her, and her best bet is to stall and dodge. She has no real experience with fighting someone with super strength. Her own attacks consisted more of offense, which didn't work well when her opponent had impenetrable skin. She also has no proper weapons except whatever's been left in her belt from before, and she doubts a smoke pellet will do anything to stop the mini superman charging towards her. If the blonde woman was right, the others who broke in (now most likely other vigilantes if this kid has any ties to the real superman) should be preoccupied with the older girls.
