The Kiver
Tulip held Rosy's hand as the carriage bumped along the road. "That's astonishing!" Nadia said, and they all acknowledged her with a nod or a 'totally' without taking their eyes off the spectacular sight. "Anyone up for a swim?" Emery said as she gestured towards the ocean in front of them. Tulip laughed but swallowed it as she realized they were going to fly over it.
"We can just take a b-b-boat right?" Rosy stuttered, nervously. Emery chuckled, "do I hear some scaredy cats back there?" Tulip shook her head, "if you count being scared of falling into the dark depths of the ocean as being a 'scaredy-cat' then yes." Katelyn smiled, "just don't look down and you'll be fine." Rosy plastered a fake smile, "right because it's sooo easy not to look down when you're flying above the whole freaking OCEAN!"
Emery grinned and lashed at the reigns, "get ready!" She yelled. Her pets sped up, covering the road twice as fast in a full-speed gallop. Tulip held her eyes shut. "Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down, don't look down," Rosy murmured to herself. She stifled back a scream for a couple of seconds before shouting, "I LOOKED DOWN!!!"
Emery's pets started going crazy with all of the drama Rosy was creating. The pets lashed out and pulled the carriage down with them. Now the girls were rocketing straight for the ocean, and they were all yelling in fear. "Calm down!" Emery shouted, "I'm going to maneuver us around that building!" She pointed to a large structure on the beach.
The carriage neared the water, and Emery was running out of time. She whipped the reins on her pets just as they reached the water's tips. The pets ran over the water, and Katelyn could almost touch its surface. They were still in danger of crash landing, but Emery was fortunately just as quick. She tugged the reigns left, and the carriage missed a building by just a couple inches.
Emery pulled the pets back, and the carriage skidded to a stop. They had landed on a bumpy surface. "We almost died!" Rosy shouted. "No thanks to you!" Emery shot back. "Stop arguing!" Tulip said.
"Can we all agree to take a boat next time?" Nadia said, still shook from their big roller coaster plunge. They all nodded in weak agreement.
"Next stop: The Kiver!" Emery announced, and she ushered her pets into a steady canter. They passed people in the streets and politely waved. The Kiver's welcome sign was in the distance. Emery pulled up in front of the decorative place. "I can't believe we're here," Rosy sighed.
The girls walked in through its double doors, the outside was not nearly as impressive as the inside. A red carpet lined the path from the entrance to the front desk, and the walls were draped in silk fabric. The ceiling had a large, pink, flower detailed chandelier. The furniture in the lobby was nice too. They had chairs and couches and a fireplace underneath a large tv currently playing ads and reruns of Delphi's Got Talent. The only words the girls managed to get out were, "wow."
