The Meet and Greet
"Who are you?!" Tulip said, putting her arms protectively in front of her friends. "Oh, I don't know, maybe an old lady, maybe a hydra," she said, smiling slyly. "Why are you following us?!" Rosy demanded. "Following you?" The lady said, "if anyone's following anyone, you're following me," she replied. "Don't play tricks with us, we know your mind games," Emery hissed.
"What games?" The lady asked, tilting her head innocently. "Showing up in the woods, for starters," Nadia recalled. "That was just to get your attention," the lady said. "Why do you even want our attention?! We're just strangers on a quest, and we're looking for a goddess, not a lady in a grey cloak!" Katelyn cried. The lady studied their faces, narrowing her eyes at Tulip.
"Why so cross darling?" She said, rolling and unrolling the fabric on her cloak. "Are you seriously asking us that?!" Tulip shouted, "do you know what we've been through to get here? And to find nothing! No goddess! No reward! No anything!" She yelled, "do you know how that feels?" The lady pursed her lips in silence. "Yeah," Nadia agreed, "do you?" The lady shook her head, "I do know," she whispered. "I have felt that one too many times," the lady said. She massaged her hands in thought.
"Do you know the story of The Trojan War?" She asked. "Yes," they all replied. "The story of Helen and Paris?" She said. "Yes," they said again. "Well, Helen and Paris were destined to be together, but Helen's awful husband King Menelaus ordered the Trojans to take her back, and then came the Trojan War," The lady paused, and heaved a sigh of sadness, "Helen and Paris did not live happily ever after, and all that meddling was for nothing, all my efforts were never enough," she said. "Wait, but that story was because Aphrodi-" Rosy stopped in realization.
"APHRODITE!" She yelled. The goddess dropped her cloak to reveal an intense aura of beauty. "How could I have been so STUPID?" Tulip cried. "I can't believe it was YOU!" Emery gasped. "Oh my gosh, your beautiful greatness!" Nadia shouted.
They all bowed down in respect. "That cloak was killing me," Aphrodite said. Tulip gazed at her, and a wave of emotions came over her. The goddess let off strong radiation of love and kind feelings, and Tulip couldn't help but smile at her. "Oh, how rude of me," Aphrodite apologized, "how are you guys doing?" She asked.
"Amazing!" Emery said. "We're so stupid," Katelyn muttered. Carter grinned, "I can't believe we found you," he told Aphrodite. "Believe it!" She cheered. Rosy came back to a confused look, "but what are you doing in Delphi?"
