Persephone's Arrival
The girls said their goodbyes, and Aphrodite wished them farewell before disappearing in a glittery cloud. Carter walked with them back to the hotel to gather their things. After packing up all of their stuff into Emery's Chariot, they climbed in with their spirit animals. Carter waved to them as they flew away into the sky. Going high up into the clouds, the girls all slept until they were back home.
When they woke up, Mt. Olympus came into view. "We're back!" Tulip shouted with glee. All the girls peeked over the sides of the chariot. A misty mountain came into view. As they flew closer, their school became visible.
Once the chariot reached the ground, the girls ran inside with their luggage and hauled it up the stairs. They opened the dorm doors and collapsed on their beds. "Persephone should be coming soon, you should probably wait outside, Tulip," Rosy told her. Tulip agreed and walked outside. Soon enough was a glowing pink orb that descended from the sky.
"Hi, mom," Tulip grumbled. Persephone smiled when the intense light faded. Her dress was flowing with flowers and plants. Her eyes dazzled like the color of cherry blossoms. Her shoes were green sandals and she put her mahogany hair up in a bun.
She was an altogether vision. The epitome of nature itself. "Hi, darling." Her voice was so sweet that it drizzled into your ears like honey. "I really don't want to go with you, mom," Tulip said. Persephone's mouth pouted.
"Why ever not, little sugar petal?" Tulip stared at her feet. "I want to be with my friends, I can't stay away from them forever." She said. Persephone frowned, "don't you want to be one with nature like me? I can just hear the sunflowers whispering about you!" She exclaimed. Tulip sighed. "I don't want to just like you, I want to be me," she said.
Persephone nodded, "I see." She smiled, "you can stay here with your friends if you want, but my offer is always open." Tulip's cheeks lifted. "Thanks but no thanks!" She hugged her mom and watched as the pink orb glowed before burning out completely.
Tulip skipped back to her dormitory and shared the good news. Her friends surrounded her in a group hug. "Now we can spend time having more adventures!" Rosy said. Emery hopped up and down, "this is awesome, guys!" Nadia had been quiet for a while but couldn't help grinning. "I love you all and I've had so much fun already!"
Tulip embraced them all again. "Good, because it's not over yet!" She said. Rosy danced around, "and maybe we can visit Carter again!" She added. Everyone nodded, and all of them collapsed, out of energy. "I can't wait for what comes next because, with you guys by my side, I know it will be legendary!" Tulip exclaimed. They all laughed in pure bliss as daylight became faint and the sun had set on the horizon.
