"Kaycee it's ok. The government said they would protect us if he ever came back." My mom told me over the phone.

I knew this, but still.

"Uh, ok mom. I will see you later ok?" I say over the phone.

"Ok, bye sweetheart," my mom said before I heard two beeps.

I walk on out to find Bailey and the rest of the girls in a circle.

"Oh, Kaycee! We were all wondering where you were." Tati said to me.

"Yeah Kaycee where were you?" Tahani asked me.

"Oh, just freshening up in the bathroom," I lied.

"Ok guys before you go, I have one more assignment!" Jojo yelled abruptly.

We all gathered around on the main dance floor.

"I just wanted to say Sean and Kaycee did amazing! Wow, we finally found a guy to keep up with our little superstar. So as you know the school's "Paint Your Picture" Fundraiser is coming up," Jojo started "So because this is my advanced danced class, I decided to set up a little assignment for you all. So I have put you in partners by random. With your partner, I want you to create a piece with a clear story to it. I want there to be a message. Show the audience how you paint your picture. So here is how this is going to work. Create a piece with your partner, video it, send it to me, and then I will choose who gets to perform. The duet will be getting an A in this class for the quarter. You know, some pretty big people may be invited."

The class exchanged glances.

"Ok, here are the partners," Jojo said as she put the list on the door "And one more thing,"

We all look over at her.

"They are boy-girl partners"

We all groan.

Am I ready for another boy partner?

"Once you check the list you can go home,"

I danced a lot with Gabe a few years ago.

But he dances with Tati now.

I knew they liked each other.

So I stepped out of the way.

Anyway, I looked at the list posted on the door.

"Hey Kaycee, are you okay? After looking at the list, you seem pretty frazzled. You know dancing with Sean isn't that bad right? I've danced with him before. He's pretty good." Bailey tells me.
