the change

Joel's Pov*

  I can't believe I just did that! I look at her wrapped in a blanket asleep on my couch. I then realize

"Oh my god... Génesis!"

I run upstairs to get phone dialing her number. I can't believe I did this to her! I'm so stupid! She finally made a friend!

"Hi, babe! What's going on?"

I stutter

"I um... I need you to meet me in the park..."

She replies

"Ok... Which Park?"

I think for a second

"Gardens?"

I fiddle with my fingers.

"Yeah ok sounds good I'm around there anyways. See ya in a few! Bye love you!"

I smile

"Love you too!"

I hang up my phone not believing that I'm going to do this. I grab my leather jacket with the object I needed inside and put one of my bandanas on.

  I grab my phone looking at it as I open my bedroom door. Zoe wraps her arms around me giving me a kiss. My eyes open wide and she pulls away.

"What?"

She asks with a worried look

"N-nothing. I'll ber-right back..."

She nods her head and walks with me to the front door. I head out closing the door behind me. I mumble breathing out a sigh,

"I'm sorry Zoe..."

I go inside my mustang driving to the park.

I see Génesis sitting on underneath a tree. She looks up and smiles. I smile back running towards her. She gets up and jumps on me as I twirl her in circles.

  She gives me a kiss and swings our arms. I ask

"Turn around?"

She nods and I put my hand over my heart to calm down. I was going to this Valentine's day but things change.      Not believing I'm doing this, I bend down on one knee opening up the ring box.

"Ok, you can look..."

She turns back around and covers her mouth as tears come out. I'm sorry Zoe.

"Génesis Eulogia Valentína Garcia, I love you so much. You make me so happy and I just wanted to take the next step. We've been dating for almost 2 years...you make me the happiest goofball alive"

She laughs and I continue

"Marry me?"

She says

"YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES!"

I smile and kiss her forehead as she wraps her arms around my neck. She says

"I'll be right back so we can take pictures! I have to go call my mother!"

I laugh as she walks away jumping up and down. I sigh thinking of Zoe. I've always loved her, but she hurt me so bad! Génesis is good for me. Did I make a good decision...right?

  Génesis comes back with some girl and says

"I've asked this girl to take pictures of our announcements!"

I laugh and nod. For one of the photos, Génesis has me get down on my knee again. The next photo, she kisses me while holding out her hand to the camera. The last photo, I hold her hand and take a photo of the ring.

She looks at the pictures and says

"I'm so posting these!"

I chuckle. We decided to leave and I drive back to my house.

I open my front door and there stands Zoe with open arms. I hope you still love me after this...
