The week passed by without anything new. Cornelia was still countering Niyo's attacks, and the student council was getting work done.
Monday came back, and students were walking to their classes.
The first class came by, and Aki found himself in the Tower of Destiny, with Cornelia in the center, using astrological magic.
"Welcome back, everybody. Welcome to the Academy, first years. I hope you are prepared. Today, we will prepare for the first attempts of using astrological magic. Let's start with the terrain change. First years, watch closely, as you will not have the chance to make a successful attempt without any seals."
Everybody gave Cornelia some space, and then saw her chant an incantation.
Shortly, a bright ring was glowing around her forehead. Her magic seal glowed, and displayed on the ground. As if space shattered the domain, everybody stood in a false figment of space.
"This terrain lasts for two minutes. Terrain changes can confuse enemies, and gives you a chance to attack them while they are vulnerable."
Two minutes passed, and the terrain shattered, returning to the Tower of Destiny.
"Any second years down for attempting?"
A man with a bandage over his right eye walked to the middle of the room, chains rattling across the floor.
"Welcome, Secretary Koru."
The student saw some space, and tossed a chain. He put his arm to his head, an implanted a terrain change, implementing shock images.
After ten seconds, Koru pulled his chain back, and looked around, as everybody laid on the ground in shock, struggling to see what was real.
After five minutes, everybody returned to their senses. Cornelia stock back up nervously. "Anybody want to try to fight him?"
In the back of the room, Reito stood up. He took out the swords his parents gave him, keeping them in their sheathes, and space was cleared in the large room.
Cornelia stood in the middle. "Anything goes, as long as nobody is in critical condition or left dead."
Cornelia backed away, and created a powerful barrier, surrounding Koru, Reito, and the floor.
"So all I have to do is keep his chains away, huh?" Reito thought. "Koru, was it? How did you implant shock?"
Koru closed his eyes. "The past is full of trauma."
"Ready?"
Reito got ready for battle.
"Fight!"
Koru threw one chain at Reito's legs, but got stopped by gravity, but Reito reacted too quickly, and jumped, but didn't realize that his lack of combat experience caused the battle to end early. He tried to knock Koru down, but missed, getting grabbed by Koru's chains. As if his right eye stopped him in time, his chains were the only thing holding Reito in the air, and then he implanted shock images into his mind, ranging from false illusions of his parents to Koru's own past.
Reito fell to the ground, unable to see what was real. Koru then used strong wind magic by spinning his chains at high enough speeds.
The battle ended, and everybody waited for Reito to calm down.
Reito eventually recovered, and it was time to go to the next class.
Aki found his next class, which was in the fields, supervised by Trismegistus.
"Hello, potential subjects! Here, we basically spar and condition ourselves for the Sealer program. Every student will have at least one seal on their body.
