The next day passed, and the remaining students would be fighting to get the win in the festival.

Aki saw who he was fighting when he saw the bracket, and then realized he would be fighting Axle.

Riki walked over to the first year, and gave him advice. "He relies heavily on his gun, and isn't very good at melee battles. He has to spend a long time to reload. Use this to break his guard and knock him out of bounds or to subdue him.

Aki went to Umi and Rai, who were talking to Koru about his injuries.

Umi seemed to have an elixir which had a suspiciously dark aura. "I asked Ariel for her DNA, and worked on acquiring data to heal all injuries without turning someone. Should we test it on you before your battle against Riki?"

Koru declines. "It may still be in the testing phase. I don't want to remove the marks of my violent past. You can use them on other sick people though."

Umi used cooling magic on her elixir. "I hope I can save a life with this."

The two left the room, and Koru went to the waiting room, where Aki was preparing himself to fight Axle.

Koru sat down when his brother was swinging his sledgehammer.

After believing he was ready, Aki sat back down.

"You know, if you win, you're going to fight Ariel. I'm going to fight Riki, so I might be able to make it to the final round."

Helga called for Aki and Axle.

"I guess it's time."

Koru watched his brother leave, and he went to the seats.

"This is the first battle of the sports festival! On the east corner, he's the second year with two seals and a gun, here's the student council President Axle!"

Through the smoke, Axle arrived.

Aki was already in the arena.

"Here's the first year who's seen everything, ranging from BLT to serving out justice. Here's Aki!"

Koru found Umi and Rai, and sat down.

"Okay. Here is how the fights will go. After the introductions, the fight will commence. The fights last until one cannot move or is out of bounds. You ready?"

The two nodded.

"Go!"

Aki charged toward Axle, and hit him in the gut with the base of the handle. After regaining balance, Axle jumped back, and fired his gun. The bullet was slow, but grazed Aki with ice magic. He used another bullet to numb his feet, but the hammer deflected the bullet to his left foot, numbing it.

Aki jumped, and swung his hammer down to Axle's head, but was grabbed, and so Aki jumped onto Axle's hands, and kicked him out of bounds, but the hammer kept him in.

Fans were cheering for both sides, and Axle jumped into the air, encasing himself in an ice tower, thinking of his next strategy. Quickly, he felt a rumble. He shattered the ice, but it was too late. Aki had just batted him out of bounds.

"Axle is out of bounds, Aki is the winner!"

Aki and Axle shook hands, and left the arena.

"Calling Alise and Marya. Alise and Marya, to the east and west gates."

Alise and Tagapuno split up, and went to the east gate. Marya was already at the west gates, and they opened.

"Coming in from the west gate, is the ghost from Holy Night Present herself, Marya! Coming in from the east gate, is Alise! She's a small girl with the highest levels of contact!"
