Chapter Two

Arnav was sitting in the waiting area next to the room where “Nameless as of now" girl was lying unconscious. The police had visited hours ago, and Arnav had given his statement and told the officials about what had occurred at the accident site. The police had left for the time being, Promising to return once the girl regained consciousness. Although even the police had assured him that he was not the one at fault here, But Arnav still couldn't help but blame himself for the accident.

Only if he was paying proper attention, a lot of this could've been avoided. Arnav sighed.

Only if..

His train of thoughts was broken by the shrill ringtone of his mobile phone. Arnav saw the Caller-Id and took the call

“Hello Di" He greeted.

“Are you okay Chotte?” Anjali asked softly

“Yes Di, I'm good.” He answered, Suddenly remembering why he was distracted in the first place. “I'm absolutely fine"

“When will you come home?” She asked

“I'm in the hospital Right now” He informed.

“H-Hospital? Are you hurt chotte? Why are you in the hospital?” Anjali asked worried.

“Relax Di!! I'm not the one who's hurt. It's a girl. Sje was involved in an accident” Arnav explained

“Oh. Is she alright? The girl?” She asked

“I haven't had the chance to talk to the doctor about her yet, So I'm not sure.” Arnav responded

“Take care of yourself & please try to come back as soon as you can.” Anjali said

“Yes Di. I'll try”

Arnav went back to his daydreaming session. A few minutes passed in silence, and Dr. Shah made an appearance. Arnav immediately jumped to his feet seeing him and walked towards him.

“Doctor, How is she?” Arnav asked with a hint of worry in his voice

“She has lost a lot of blood, The wounds are very deep too. We'll have to wait for her to regain her consciousness before saying anything.” The doctor said calmly.

Arnav nodded.

“You can go Mr. Raizada if you'd like. As it is we can't let anyone but family stay with her after the visiting hours. We are trying to contact her family. If we're lucky they'll be here in a while." Dr. Shah said

“Any development yet?” Arnav asked.

" Although I'm not supposed to give out information about patients, But you're the one who brought her here, So I think I can trust you. Her name is Khushi, She is a student of MK Gandhi School of Law. The phone number which we found in her ID card is not connecting." He informed

Arnav sighed. “What if something happens while she is alone?” He asked concerned

“This is a hospital Mr. Raizada, even if something happens there are doctors who can handle everything very easily. You don't have to be worried at all" Doctor Shah assured him.

Arnav smiled, "I've not had a good experience with hospitals, Doctor Shah. I feel responsible for her since her family isn't here yet." He explained.

"I can understand Mr. Raizada. Please don't worry, We'll take care."

“I do understand that you can't let me stay here according to the rules but please make sure you let me know if there is a development in her health or her family is here.” Arnav said.
