She turned the doorknob, surprised that it was still in place.A gush of dust particles washed over her, causing her to sneeze. The place was old,and dusty. She hadn't been there in years, ever since her father was brutally murdered. It brought back many memories, memories she didn't want to think about. She pushed her past to the back of her brain but seeing her childhood home wasn't helping.

She walked further in the old wooden house, taking in every detail.Mostly everything in the house was covered in dust.Spider webs hanging from the ceiling and a lot of dead bugs were covering the floor. She immediately felt like cleaning the place but that would bring back the old Francesca,Frankie. The little fragile girl that depended on her father for everything.

She took another look. The house was still up and mostly everything was still in place. No burglary took place. The couches were still there, and her grandmother's quilts were still there too.

It was four am,the sun was going to rise in two hours. It was still dark, but the moonlight illuminated the house. The moon.It was full, which only meant one thing.Danger.

The wolves and the vampires are driven insane when the moon is full.Their demons take over their bodies and control them.A lot of deaths occur during a full moon, and a lot of people change to creatures during new moons. It's like a cycle.

She had to be quick. She couldn't stay any longer, she had to look quick to avoid being chased by a wolf. She glanced at the living room one last time before going into the rooms. Her room was the first. The colours in the walls were faded and her bed was covered in dust. She ran her fingertips over her books that were laid on the bookshelf. She missed reading, unfortunately she had to time to.

Her fathers' was the next.Tears stung her eyes but she had to control herself. She closed her eyes to avoid them from spilling. This couldn't happen, she couldn't,shouldn't cry.She ran out of the house, her eyes still closed.

The wind almost knocked her over when she stepped outside the house. She needed to supports her mass on her truck.Unexpectedly, she heard a howl from a distance. All the colour drained from her face. The wolves tracked her.

She climbed into her truck. Her hands were trembling as she drove away as fast as her truck could go.She wasn't equipped, she couldn't fight.

Luckily she got to the driveway and she blew out air, relieved. She could've been killed by a creature.Or worst, she could've let her guard down and broken down inside her childhood home. Her father wouldn't have been proud of her actions. But she was glad she didn't.

The sun was rising, and she was more than glad. The streets were crowding and the café's filling with people.Luckily, there was an empty spot for her at the far back. She decided against it when she saw a pack of wolves reunited there. They were in human form, obviously. They're probably having breakfast to chow down a few humans later.Francesca rolled her eyes at the thought. They made her sick.

She sat on the stools instead, leaning on the counter.Aria cocked an eyebrow at her.

"Early morning?"

"Yeah."Francesca blew out.She was exhausted. After what she experienced at the cabin, she didn't ever want to go there, ever again. She didn't want to be fragile again.Fragility meant weakness and she was anything but weak.

Aria placed a steaming mug of hot chocolate in front of her.Francesca thanked her and greedily cupped her hands around the mug and took sips non-stop.

"Want a doughnut?"

"Please."

A doughnut was placed in front of her,and she devoured it,savoring every little bite.It was succulent and sweet, her favourite combination. The hot chocolate was delicious. She drank all of it.She needed a sweet distraction.
