DEAN WINCHESTER

I didn't expect her to remember anything. Maybe my sweet princess wasn't gone. Maybe she was just hidden. Waiting to come out. When it was time to leave I scruffed up her hair and kissed it, remained there for a while before moving away. She had this huge dorky grin on her face and she almost looked back to normal.

"Till next time Princess," I told her softly.

She smiled and squeezed my hand, which I hadn't even realized she grabbed. "Till next time Dad." She then grabbed both of our hands, Alex's and mine, before saying "I love you, Mom, I love you, Dad."

My eyes watered and we left the room without another word. I looked at Alex before we climbed the stairs. I saw hope in her sparkling blue eyes. Something I hadn't seen in a long time.

ALEX WINCHESTER

By the time that we walked back upstairs, Castiel was pacing in front of the basement door. He looked at Dean and me with hope in his eyes.

"Well?" He asked.

"She remembered both of us with very little push. I was surprised honestly." Dean commented from behind me. I nodded in agreement and pushed my black hair behind my ear. It needed to be washed and cut... Maybe I should do that before we go to bed tonight since Scar was home.

"Well, that's something," Bobby said from across the room. He wheeled over and patted my hand. "She'll come back."

"I hope so, she remembered the time you tried to scare her when she was five, just from seeing Dean's necklace," I told him squeezing his hand.

"She remembered my nickname for her." Sam chimed in. "I didn't expect her to remember that."

"Hopefully she'll remember something from you Cas. You spent the most time with her it only makes sense." I comforted him, seeing his face fall at all the memories.

"I hope so." He commented before looking down at the basement door.

"Why don't you go see her?" Bobby asked.

"I angel-proofed it. I can go in, but I can't come out until the seal is broken. We all stood in silence as it befell our little family. We all knew how much Castiel loved Scar, and how much not being able to see her was killing him. And if he walked into that room, he was no help to us against whatever war was coming.

SCARLETT DESTINY WINCHESTER

I watched the door in anticipation. I pulled a blanket around me and waited for the lock to turn. Mom said that Castiel might come down and see me. I hope he does, I remember how close we were. I drew circles with my thumb trying to pass the time. It felt like hours drew on, when it could have possibly been minutes, maybe seconds!

I got up and walked around the room, maybe trying to get my mind off of it would make it go faster! God, I couldn't wait! The door slowly creaked open and I turned my head towards it in excitement, was it Cas? I smiled and watched as it slowly crept open.

"Cas?" I called out and started walking that direction. "Cas I've been waiting! Why did it take you so long!" I called out, my voice echoing around me. When the door crept all the way open with a groan of the metal, Castiel wasn't standing there. Another man was, and I recognized him immediately.

I growled and lunched forward with all intention to send him back to hell. I rose my hand up ready to set it on his forehead when something stopped me. I looked up and pounded against an invisible barrier.

"huh, nice. Angel-proof." He chuckled. "Unfortunately its also demon-proof." His thick accent grated against my eardrums as he looked at me with a cocky smile. "Hello, Darling. I thought you were in hell."

"Crowly. Always a pleasure." I responded. "Gabriel killed me and pulled me out. Made me an angel in some sort of abomination surgery."

"Ah. Explains why loverboy is so heartbroken." He leans against the doorway far enough to support himself, but not get sucked into the devil's trap where I could rip him to shreds. "Guess he'll come down at some point eh?"

"What do you want?" I asked staring him down.

"We had a deal. I own your soul. And now its angel. Very valuable might I add." He commented. "So, once they let you out of this death trap, you do what I want when I want for however long I want."

"Unless I expel you to hell," I commented.

"Well, that'd hurt my feelings actually."

"I don't care. There's no deal. You promised you'd get me out and you lied. So the deal's off 'princess' now run along."

"Hmm..." He hummed before disappearing, the door once again closing.

"Castiel?" I asked aloud. "Can you hear me?" I looked straight up and listened to my voice echo about. If he couldn't see me maybe he could hear me.

"Yes Scar,  you're coming through the vents." I heard a gruff voice answer back.

"I miss you."

There was a long pause before an answer came back. "I miss you too Scarlett."

"Hey Cas?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

Another long pause. "I love you too."
