After a few moments of silence and tough gazes from Derek. Stiles had finally broken. "All right, the thing was pretty slick looking. Um..." Stiles had to begin to think of that night again, to try and remember what the creature had looked like. "Skin was dark. Kind of patterned. Uh, I think I actually saw scales. Is that enough? Okay?" Stiles had asked, not wanting to talk any more about this creature. "'Cause I have someone I really need to talk to," But I see Derek flash his evil eyes at Stiles from under his lashes.Stiles grunted as he was annoyed and wanted to be somewhere else. "Uh, all right, fine. Eyes. Eyes are, um..." he took another moment to think of the description. "Yellowish and slitted. It has a lot of teeth. Oh, and it's got a tail, too," Stiles had finished off, but I heard a strange hissing sound from above us, and my eyes slowly lifted up to see claws - no, talons - grabbing the bars from the upper section, where people could watch from.
My eyes slightly widened, but I could hear Stiles talking but I didn't pay attention. My eyes grew wider as he began to claw the bars so it was standing on them. Speechless to say anything. It then began to hiss seconds after Stiles had finished speaking and when he finally noticed the rest of us looking up and he made the mistake of turning around. It screams an awful sound, as Stiles quickly backs up as I did the same. I stood next to Derek and Stiles stood next to me.
The scream of the creature followed it as it jumped from above landing on all fours before Derek growls, pushing Stiles and I to the side slightly, as he crouched down in his defensive stance. But Erica on the other hand, wasn't so lucky as the creature swung at her and she was thrown, powerfully, over the side and into the stone wall, and was left unconscious.
"Run!" Derek states to us both, Stiles had taken a few steps back as I did the same because he dragged me along. But the creature was quick and slashed Derek's neck.
"Derek, your neck," I state as his hand went to his neck for a moment before he fell backward, but luckily Stiles had come forward and caught him.
"Come on," Stiles states in a rush tone, dragging Derek alongside the pool as I was inches behind them. I heard it hiss and with one quick slash, I felt pain in my neck, I froze to the spot and felt my neck, I could smell my blood and Derek's of course. However, I could feel my wound heal in seconds, but I still felt an unbalance of sorts. I tried to raise my hand but it was taking it's time to follow through the action like my hand was slowed down. But my legs felt shaky and were numbed, and within seconds, I fell to the floor. Going with a 'thud' sound that echoed in the area.
"Alice!" Stiles states worried, but I couldn't move much, only little bits, I could sense that my healing ability was kicking in.
"Run!" was my only response, at least we know above my neck works. Suddenly, I heard a splash of water, and I was laid stiff as a board, my head tilting to the side which was facing the water. I see Derek fell into the pool as Stiles had dropped his phone. Stiles looked between his phone and the water for a split second, before diving in after him. Within seconds, they both resurfaced safely but both looked like a drained rat. But hey, they're alive. For now.
I tried to move my hand again but only could achieve a wiggle of my fingers on each hand. Come on healing process. I thought to myself. Trying to push hard in raising my hand, but it was no use. I huffed in defeat, but I did wonder if my magic could still work.
"Alice, are you alright," Stiles had asked in between intakes of water.
"Besides being paralyzed from the neck down. I'm just great," I spoke, clear sarcasm laced in my voice as I also rolled my eyes back at him.
"Try doing whatever you do," Stiles had announced, and I could just see clogs turning their faces.
"Really, is not the time to do things like that. I would have to concentrate but I can't because I can't feel anything!" I raised my voice at him, but he did make a good point. If I tried using magic I could try to flush out - in a way - the toxins. I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate, but all I could hear was the splashing of the water that Stiles made as he tried to keep both Derek and him alive. But I could feel my magic working, I focused on moving my limbs. My toes began to move, then my fingers began to wiggle, surely but slowly, my movement was coming back to me.
Within moments, I slowly stood, like I had just had taken a right old beating, and I wasn't giving up on the fight. My legs wobbled as I began to balance myself out, I could feel Stiles and Derek's gaze at me but it didn't put me off. I fell to stand straight on my own feet, as I looked at the boys.
"I'm up," I sang swiftly, as I placed one foot out and the other one like I was walking but walking like a robot that had been just made up. However, the healing process began to fully kick into drive as I was moving freely and normally as before but I felt drained, strength wise.
Just as I began to walk correctly, a hissing sound pierced my ears from behind. I groaned internally, as I slowly turned my body to face the creature who was crouched on the ground, it's slit yellowish eyes staring at me intently. It roared, loudly but it sounded like nails on a chalkboard, but I didn't let it show. I stared back with my own gaze, ready for its move. Suddenly, it leapt forward to try and top me. But I was quick, and grabbed it by it's shoulders and swung it around, letting go half-way, making it fly across the pool side. But it wasn't at full force, my body was adjusting to the toxins.
However, my eyes never left it as it was thrown across, and it landed, it's hand had touched the water briefly as it went on all floors but in a flash, it flinched back in fright of the liquid. The creature also hissed at the water, before looking back at me. A creature who doesn't like water, was kind of strange to me.
It screamed at me as it charged once again, but I couldn't fight it as my strength wasn't at its peak. I look to the water where Stiles held Derek up. Without a second thought, I ran to the edge of the swimming pool and swan dived in, the creature was on my tail and was ready to attack, but it missed me by a fraction. I put my hands together to a point moments before I hit the water. Water surrounded my whole body, as I went straight to the legs of Derek and Stiles. After a few seconds under the water, I swam back to the surface, my head popping out as I began to float next to the boys.
I glanced between the boys, my face frowning, my eyebrows knitting together in annoyance. "Don't. Say. A. Word," Were my only words as, I glanced back at the creature who was circling around the pool.
We needed a plan and one that was good. Stiles was a no-go because he has no fighting skills and Derek was paralysed from the neck day. He would only talk the creature to death. I couldn't do much as my strength hadn't come back yet and tried magic. I didn't know what the toxins would do to me if I tried magic, but I had to do something and I had something forming within my mind....
