I turn over onto my back facing the ceiling of the bedroom I spent most of my time with Calum in. The room I have spent most of the last week in.

Somebody knocks the door,but I don't answer. I haven't spoken to Brenda or dad since the day Calum left. I haven't talked to anybody I haven't turned my phone on, I haven't used my laptop. I have spent a week in silence.

The door opens and I face away from it knowing it will be dad.

"indie..I know you're ignoring me right now but I'm your dad, and it's your birthday."

"I completely forgot."I say my sentence full of sarcasm.

"indigo!"

"your not my dad! I'm an orphan now! Mom's dead and your dead to me!"I spit full of venom.

"your just a kid!"

"oh look, I'm eighteen and I can do as I please."I snarl getting out of bed and pulling my suitcase out from under my bed.

I stuff everything in zipping it shut and ignoring dad.

"indie..I'm sorry I want you to know I love you."

"I love you dad but I just can't forgive you, and If I never find Calum again I never will."I pick my hairbrush up and my toothbrush from the en suite.

"well I know you're going so heres your birthday money."he passes me an envelope and I take it.

"this isn't the end dad."I hug him and make my way downstairs.

I turn my phone on not really knowing where I'm going.

I have 68 missed calls.

And 8 messages.

Why are you ignoring me , I couldn't stay the cops would be sure to take action your not even 18 xxx

The last one makes me smile, a lot. But I can't help thinking about the message that says I'm at Laura's how does he know Laura? Laura was one of moms bestmates.

"well this Is goodbye!"I beam waving and walking out of the front door.

I pay the cab driver and grab my luggage.

Heading over to the door It springs open and Calum stands there I kisses him.

"I've missed you."I tell him but he shakes his head.

"indie come in."he leads me to the snug where I sit down and he sits afar.

"indie after the last week I've realised that we don't really have much of a future together, we both want different things you want to travel be spontaneous , I want to settle down."I stare at him for a second but I know what he's saying is right.

"Calum I've had an amazing year with you."

"it's been great."he agrees kissing my forehead.

I head into the living room and greet Laura.

"how are you indie?"she jumps up and hugs me.

"I'm really good."I grin and she smiles.

"good."

"I've moved out of dad and brendas."

"did you do that for Calum?"

"no, I did it for me, you never told me you knew Calum."

"good I'm happy for you and yeah he's my cousin."she smiles and I hug her.

"I'm going to miss you guys so much, even Alex maybe a smidge!"I wink and they all look at me confused.

"beauty is in the details! I'm off to see the world I'll be back to see you all."

"the world?"

"well parts of it, I'm really looking forward to it."

"please don't go, not again."

"this is what I've wanted to do all my life I'll miss you but I will be back."

"you better be missy!"Laura wags her finger at me.

"I will."

"will you stay tonight?"

"I'll stay till tomorrow then I'm off on the first flight to morocco."

"morocco?"Alex speaks for the first time.

"first family holiday."I tell him.

"same.."

"weird."Calum shudders and I smile.

"so , who are you going with?"Laura asks.

"nobody."I grimace.

"nobody! Don't be silly you can't go alone! all sorts happen while people go travelling alone! Rape..."

"alright I know the consequences but I don't exactly have friends queuing up do I?"

"I'll come with you?"Alex suggest.

"I don't think that's a good idea, I barely know you and..."

"whats not to like about the idea,your better going with Alex then going alone,Alex will go."

I'm surprised to find these words coming from Calum the boy that would usually be jealous if a guy even talking to me.

"ok, Alex I'll go with you."

"where are you going?"we all slowly swivel our heads to meet rosie's cold stare.

"I'm..going travelling."Alex stutters.

"who with?"she glares.

"me."I smile and she looks like she's about to explode.

"you are not going travelling with her! She's a slag she'll be all over you, eww you'd probably catch an STI!"

"ROSIE! don't say stuff like that , I'd be more likely to catch something from you."

"ahhhh!"she runs at me and soon we are in a fight pulling at each others hair.

I have advantage over her and she realises that.

"well fine take him, I have kelia, your sister."she hisses and I drop her.

Yellow! Guess what one or two more chapters than I'm writing the sequel!

Which will be called my stepbrother can try!

Sorry it's really short but I'm saving myself for the next chapter because I want to make it interesting!
