Indigo:

"calum.."I wake him up feeling ashamed.

"Indie I'm so sorry."

"shh, I'm sorry can we please go back to normal?"

"of course."

I kiss him quickly and cuddle him.

"come on you two we've got to go."

"go?"Calum raises his eyebrows.

"go where?"

"to stay with Brenda."

"Aunt Brenda?"I shoot up excitedly.

we drive to everett and drop annie off at their auntie lieda and then carry on to montana, we catch the plane to new york and when we finally get there I am sleep deprived and cal carries me to the car.

when I wake up I am in a bed and it looks like morning I pull myself up and make my way along the hall and down the stairs.

"hey baby we're here."calum looks at me seriously and it takes a while to understand what he is saying. "ok.." I hug him tight glad he is here with me.

"I love you indie."he whispers in my ear.

"I love you too."I lace my fingers with his and we head to the kitchen.

"oh my indie! You've grown love!"

"as tall as I'll ever be Brenda."

She laughs and pulls me into a hug. Thats when I notice dad smirking at her butt. I chuckle to myself as dad catches me looking at him and turns away.

I pull away from Brenda moulding into the side of Calum.

"got yourself a guy?"

"yep."I kiss calums cheek for emphasis as Calum slides into a seat pulling me onto his lap.

"how cute I remember being young." She chuckles looking in dads direction.

They share a moment for a second before carrying on with what they were doing. Brenda is cooking breakfast and dad is reading the paper whilst sipping coffee.

"wanna head outside?"calum whispers in my ear and I nod absentmindedly.

We walk outside onto the jetty that leads down to the lake.

"wanna go swimming?"

"no."

He picks me up and pretends to throw me in but somebody pushes from behind and we both end up in the lake a few metres from each other.

I struggle to get to calum but something latches onto my foot and onto the leg of my pants.

"calum there's something in here!"

"what?"

"it's got my leg!"he thinks I'm joking but when tears start to pour down my face he grabs hold of me pulling with everything he has and yanks my leg free.

"it's still got the leg to my pants."

"you have to take them off."

I do it as quickly as I can and climb into calum's arms as he wades to the grass.

I'm shaking and crying as blood as seeps from my foot.

Calum shrugs his hoodie off and wraps it around my butt and legs to stop people from seeing as he runs back to the house with me in his arms.

"oh my what happened?!"

"this boy he pushed us off the jetty."

"the alligators! Logan!"brenda screams out of the door and a boy of about thirteen struts in with a smirk on his face.

"yeah?"he says as if he's bored of the conversation I feel funny sensations in my foot but I try my best to ignore them.

"why'd ya push em'"

"felt like it."

"Logan there are alligators in there?"

"their ok when I swim with em'"

"Logan just say sorry would you?"

"soz."

"soz? Where did you get that?"

"duna."he shrugs.

"talk properly Logan , where did you pick up this attitude."

"I'm sorry."he insists and walks past us and up the stairs.

"his father."Brenda mutters.

I sigh I'm definitely not going to be fine for the rest of the day I can barely walk I start to cry.

"what's wrong? Is it hurting?"Calum starts to worry and I shake my head defeated.

"don't look at me! I'm disgusting."

"look I'm here for my perfect baby girl I love you so much and I can't believe you let anybody make you believe your worthless and although they aren't always what you expect and there not perfect happy ever afters do exist."

"Calum your so perfect I don't deserve you , everything you do for me is amazing you never let me go sad for more then two minutes and you always have the right thing to say I love you."

"I love you too now come on let's go get you changed.

He helps me hobble up the stairs giving me reassuring smiles every time he looks my way.

I walk to my suitcase and pull out my black pants and white tee.

"go take a shower and we can go for a drive if you like?"he does as I tell him and I sit down at the vanity plucking stray hairs pushing them out of my face as my straightening irons heat up.

"are you ok?"

I turn to face logan whose appearance at the door surprises me.

"Logan?! Yeah sure I'm ok , a bit of a sprained ankle and some painful gashes but I think I passed my medical."I throw him a wink to show him I'm joking.

"good coz I sure wouldn't of forgiven myself if the Ally's hada gotten em' "

"it's fine Logan nothing a few hours wont sort."

" well I'll see you downstairs."

He smiles and walks downstairs.

I like this house it's nicer then Seattle. I miss Brenda and dad being together and I miss my old life.

Well you can't always win but you can be a sore loser.

"are you ready?"I look over to Calum and smile.

"yes lets do this."

"good."he reaches his hand out and I take it as we leave the room and make our way downstairs.

"you okay?"Brenda looks concerned ans I nod with a small smile.

"Yeah, I'm fine we're just going to go for a drive."

"okay you two go careful."

At dinner that evening everyone seems to be getting on, Calum and I sit next to each other and Logan and Evie Brenda's kids sit opposite us, Brenda and Dad sit opposite each other at the heads of the table.
