He raises his brow and leaves to answer the phone.

"hey!"annie stands there smiling.

"hi?"she's so weird.

"my mates are coming over tomorrow can you pretend to be a cool big Sis?"

"no."

"because I'm not your sister I wont pretend."

She flips her middle finger at me and I grab it.

"take that back!"

"take what back?"she smiles innocently.

"it's okay, Annie I'll pretend if you promise never to flip me the finger again."

"I promise."

I smile at her before walking back up stairs to my room.

An hour later I lay on my bed and soon somebody is beside me.

"cal?"

He turns me to face him with a sad look on his face.

"hey cal! What's wrong?"

His face crumples and he just pushes his face into the covers hugging me.

"cal is this a trick?"

He looks up his eyes red and swollen.

"what's wrong?"

"it's my dad."his voice cracks.

"what about your dad?"I smile softly into his green eyes.

"Calum what are you doing your not supposed to tell!"Annie almost screams with tears running down her face.

"hey Annie?"I pull her over Sitting her down on my bed then walking over and locking the door.

"please maybe I can help!"

Cal sits up and wipes his eyes.

"two years ago today our dad was in a car crash he didn't make it he had a brain tumour that they uncovered but before they could do anything his breathing stopped and they couldn't revive him but we aren't allowed to go to his grave mum she completely condemns it."

"aww cal , Annie we have to make this happen dry your eyes and come into the kitchen in ten minutes I have a plan?"

They nod slowly before heading out of the door in the direction of the bathroom.
