Soul's POV
Maka and I went home on my motorcycle. Once again she wrapped her warm arms around my waist and I shivered. "You aren't sick, a-are you, Soul?" Her teeth chattered against the wind. "Nope, i-it's just cold." I coolly replied. We rode the rest of the way home taking in the Autumn air.
Once we both got home she went to her room and I slouched on the sofa. That was our cool routine, sometimes we do it by habit. I turned on the t.v. and changed it to the coolest show ever, Butchers and Victims. It was hilarious! I can't believe people get scared by this crap! It's just some cruddy makeup and some bad actors. As I laughed my ass off I was interrupted by a shriek. "T-turn it off, Soul!" The voice from the shriek said. I turned it off, even though I didn't want to, and turned around. I was stunned. Maka had the dress that Tsubaki gave her earlier. It fit perfectly and she looked pretty hot in it. She looked really cool and attractive. "Lookin' cool, Maka." I replied in my cool tone. She sat down next to me and sighed, "Hey, Soul?" "What is it, Maka?" I asked. "Could you dance with me tonight? It's really fun when we dance together. You know, when we aren't stepping on each other's feet." She blushed and chuckled. She was right. "Yeah, sure." I responded.
We watched t.v. for a while but then the little hand pointed to 7 and I decided to get ready. I went into my room and undressed. I was about to put on my black suit when I saw Maka in my doorway. I was still in my boxers so I didn't have to be embarrassed or anything. "What's up, Maka?" I asked. "N-never mind..." She looked down when she saw my scar. I walked up to her and put my hand on her shoulder. She lookee up and I hugged her. "I don't think it got through to you. What's up?" I asked once again. "Nothing, really. I just came to check on you. You went silent for a while." She whined as she flopped her body into my arms. "Can I get dressed now?" I whispered softly. "Yes." She whispers back. She slowly walks out and I close the door behind her.
I put on my suit and look in the mirror. That's it! Maka loves it when I leave my hair natural, even though I hate it. I brush my hair thoroughly to make sure it wasn't one big knot, and then made it look a little messy. I walked out my room to see Maka on the couch. When I got closer to her I sae that she had put on the necklace I gave her this morning. She looked like she was having another one of her thinking modes. I put my hand on her shoulder and nudged her. "Maka, we got to go." I said softly. "Huh? Oh, okay." Shr said quietly. I picked her up bridal style. "Come on! It's your 17th birthday! Get exited!" I said while spinning her around. She giggler and blushed. "Hey! put me down!" She giggled. "Nope," I stopped swinger her, "I'm gonna carry you all the way to the party like this." I smirker with a grin.
I walked out the door with Maka still in my arms. We walked to the DWMA's lame party and went to our usuall spot the balcony. This was it. It was now, or never, and never was NOT an option. Maka Albarn...you are as good as mine...
