"You hurt him. You humiliated him. Why do you ruin everything you touch!"
The demons ran wild in Dean's mind. He felt the blood pumping through his veins as he watched Cass storm off and the rest of the gym class was roaring with laughter.
Dean ran after Cass. He felt like it was his fault and he needed to make it right.
"Cass!" Dean ran into the room, securing the lock. The last thing either of them needed was some douchebag coming in and making fun of Cass.
"Cass?" Dean came around the corner to see cass in front of his gym locker, his left eye was already turning black and blue. Sickening shades of yellow we're developing beneath it. "You ok?"
Dean stopped walking as watched Cass, a look of fury in his eyes saddened Dean.
"I'm fine." The lack of emotion is Cass's voice worried dean. "Nothing I can't handle."
"What do mean?" Dean took another step towards Cass as Cass began removing his gym shirt and pulling out his same old, white dress-shirt.
"When did you move here again? 2? 3 months ago?" Cass began tucking in the shirt. "Well I'm sorry to inform you that I'm not nearly as cool as you seem to believe."
Cass refused to look at Dean as he wrapped the tie loosely around his neck.
Dean stood just away from Cass. He didn't know what to say. Why hadn't he been paying attention to Castiel earlier?
"See you're a screwup. Can't do anything right, doesn't care for anybody but himself. Dean Winchester, you don't deserve him."
Dean wanted to shake the demons, but not even Castiel could keep them away now. Especially not in this moment when Dean was the last person Castiel wanted to see.
"Cass..." Dean was at a lost of words. There was nothing he could say to make anything okay. Everything would just become a meaningless excuse and Cass didn't deserve that.
Cass looked at Dean expectantly, hopeful almost. But Dean couldn't say anything, and Cass pushed past Dean and left the locker room. He turned around only to say:
"Dean," he looked back to see Dean's hopeful face that he knew would fall. "Don't call me 'Cass'. My friends call me Cass." And then he walked out, leaving Dean alone with his demons.
As Cass left the locker room, he couldn't help but feel almost sad for how he treated Dean.
"I didn't do anything wrong. I'm not a friend of Dean Winchester and he is not my friend. I don't serve him, I only serve me."
Castiel thoughts combed through his mind as he realized Dean Winchester was much more of a mystery than he would've ever guessed.
