The Dovah Shinobi

Chapter Nine

Departure

Yaminah grumbled as she kicked a rock in front of her, springing the trap that Hidan had set. Another massive boulder fell from above, landing where she would have been standing if she had continued.

"Hidan!" She yelled, knowing the immortal was near. "How long are you going to try to kill me?" Even though she knew she wouldn't be answered the Dovahkiin muttered a few swears, continuing to walk forward through the base.

It had been almost two months since she had joined the Akatsuki, and to be completely honest, she was glad she did.

While Yaminah missed a few members of Konoha, she was glad to be in a place where she felt needed, going on exciting missions and avoiding Hidan's attempts to kill her.

Her relationships had grown as well. She regarded Deidara as a sibling, and the same could be said for him. the two were practically inseparable, and they constantly annoyed Sasori, who had to admit he didn't entirely hate Yaminah.

Kisame and Yaminah had a mutual agreement to taunt Hidan together, and would set up pranks together.

Overall, it seemed as if everyone in the base with the exception of Hidan regarded Yaminah as a sort of sibling. She also assumed it could be because she was the only female present since Konan left with Pein.

Fortunately, her relationship with Alduin had grown as well. Now, the two could carry out conversations without killing each other, and Yaminah trusted him enough to never bother putting up a cage. While the dragon could try to break free at any moment, he found it was better to have a jinchuuriki do all the work, and tease her as much as possible.

Yaminah never knew the stubborn dragon could have a sense of humor.

Currently, the Dovahkiin was headed to Deidara's room, told he had a new jutsu he created.

Yaminah loved his attacks, and the two constantly worked together to find new ways to combine their attacks. Naturally, this was easy since Yaminah had flame spells at her disposal, as well as telekinesis. She could move the bombs subtly while Deidara distracted opponents, and use a shout or spell to set off the bombs.

Arriving at the door she didn't bother knocking before walking in, "So what's the new jut-" She cut off by slamming her hand against her mouth to hold back laughter.

Before her lay Deidara on the floor, completely coated in clay. "It didn't work, yeah." He whispered pitifully.

"Do you need help?" She questioned, earning a glare.

Overall, it took two hours just to get the clay off of him, and Yaminah now sat behind him on the bed, working the dried clay from his hair while he worked on different shapes for bombs.

"You know, your hair would be a lot easier to manage if you kept it up." The blonde scoffed. "Or you could cut it." His frame tensed.

"I would never cut my hair. I like it longer, yeah." He answered as if it should have been obvious.

"Will you let me put it up for you then? If you don't like it you can take it out." With a sigh the man nodded, earning a smile form Yaminah that he couldn't see. "I promise I won't kill you or anything." She assured as she carefully burned away the last flake of the clay and pulled the ribbon that held her hair together away from the snowy locks.

The ribbon that Svari made was in her room after it had almost been burned. Now she just tied her hair with another one of the ribbons she had. Unfortunately, this was the only other one she had.
