"hey." jack smiled, with a sad look on his face.

"hi." jonah sighed, not wanting to see his best friend like that.

"i'm so sorry, jonah. i know how excited you were. and trust me, i was excited as well."

"jack, you don't need to apologize. i understand. we both have our separate lives out of our phones, and it is completely okay."

both ends fell to an uncomfortable silence, until jack spoke up again.

"why is it never possible?" he asked, tears starting to form in his eyes once again. "why can't i just see you, hug you and stay like that for hours. i just don't get it!"

"i wish i knew. i really wish i knew."

jack simply sighed, the tears were already rolling down his cheeks. he hid his face in his pillow, not wanting jonah to see him.

"everything will be okay, jack. i promise someday we'll meet." jonah sobbed, starting to cry as well.
