Chapter 29- Date Night

Amelia's P.O.V

Ethan and I had enjoyed our afternoon together but he seemed quieter than usual which is not like him but he keeps he is insisting he is OK so I let it be, not wanting to ruin our day. I was back home for a little while, Ethan said he had a surprise for me so he needed time to prepare and would come pick me up again in a couple of hours. I was running out of excuses to tell Matt when he asked where I was going, my aunt knew without me having to say. I was in my room finishing off getting ready when Matt knocked on my door, waiting for me to invite him in.

"Where you off too?" he asked as he walked in

I decided to tell him partly the truth

"Um...I have a date. I met him when I was out today." I said nervously

It was true, I did have a date he just did not need to know who my date was with.

"A date? With who? Why are going on a date with a guy you just met?" He asked, worried

"Calm down it is fine. We are meeting in a public place with plenty of people around." I laughed, shaking my head

"Are you sure Amelia? It is my job to worry." He said

"I will be fine promise. I will make sure to have my phone on me at all times. I will text or phone you during the date OK?" I said

It took some convincing, Matt finally giving in and letting me go on my date. He was persisted on dropping me off, luckily I managed to change his mind about that cause if he done that then he would wanna meet my date and well there would not be anyone there. Matt finally left me alone, got a better offer from somewhere which worked out well for me. As soon as Ethan text me to go get him I rushed out as quick as I could before Matt caught me again before he headed out himself.

"Is there a reason you are out of breath?" Ethan laughed as I entered the car

"Yes I ran here. Matt was asking too many questions and I ran out of lies to tell him." I said

"I am sorry baby. How about after the first week of school is buy we sit Matt down or take him somewhere public and tell him about us?" he said

"Really?" I asked surprised

Yes I knew we would need to tell him eventually, never thought Ethan would be OK with doing it this soon but I would relax more when Matt knew even though he will probably freak.

"Yes. I am done with the sneaking around and lying. He will probably punch me, not talk to me for a while but I am hoping after that he will accept it. I would hope our friendship is strong enough for us to be OK you know?" he said

I nodded, understanding where he was coming from. I know for a fact that when we do tell Matt he is gonna be more pissed...more mad at Matt rather than me. Yes he will get angry at me too but I know that won't last long. I was just hoping it would not ruin everything between them that is the last thing I want.

"I really hope it does not ruin your friendship with him Ethan." I sighed

"Don't you worry your pretty little head about that OK? Ethan and I will be fine. He will need to learn to accept it Amelia cause I am not ending things with you no matter what he says." He said

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, Matt telling him it's his relationship with me or his friendship with him.

"OK, I will try." I smiled

Ethan nodded, reaching over and kissing me softly before pulling away and starting the car. He reached over, placing his hand over mine as we headed to his house. I tried my best not to worry. I was still wondering what his surprise was for me...excited though and a little nervous. Once we pulled up outside he got out the car, running around to get the door for me and helping me out of the car. He linked our fingers, lifting my hand to his lips and kissing my knuckles.

"Amelia before we go inside I want to make sure you don't think I have done this to get something into return OK? I done it cause I am crazy about you and I wanted a special night alone before school." He said stopping to look at me

I looked at him confused, making him chuckle slightly "You will know what I mean when we walk in." he said

I smiled, nodding my head and went with it. As we entered the house he seemed to get slightly nervous. What is he up to? I found it kinda adorable. My question was soon answered when he led me through the house. The lights were all off, only light was coming from the candles he had set out on the table for two, along with beautiful roses too. I was in complete awe of the place. The smell of food filling the room and it smelt really good too.

"You done this for me?" I said turning to face him, the biggest smile plastered on my lips

"Yeah." He said nervously rubbing the back of his neck "Is it too much? Is it too cheesy?" he added

I turned to face him, stepping into him and placed my hand on his chest

"No it is not much, it is perfect. I cannot believe you done all this for me." I gushed at him

Ethan reached in, stroking my cheek softly

"I told you baby I am crazy about you." He said "All this is new to me, no girl has ever made wanna do any of this stuff for them, and then you came along and changed all that. I wanna be the best boyfriend I can for you Amelia, that is what you deserve." He said

I let out a whimper, tears building in the corner of my eyes. I can't believe how amazing he is...how amazing he is towards me. I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck, reaching in and kissing him sweetly...kissing him with everything I had in me. He smiled into the kiss and when we pulled apart I rested my forehead against his

"I am crazy about you too Ethan. You are incredible do you know that." I whispered

Ethan pulled me into his chest, hugging me close to him. I felt him press a soft kiss on the top of my head. I think I need to admit to myself no matter how crazy I sound I was falling in love with him already.

"Come on my love, let's eat, well if the food is edible, if not we can order in." he laughed

I giggled, nodding my head. Ethan took a hold of my hand again, leading me to the table and pulling my seat out for me to sit. Such a gentleman. I looked up at him, the smiling not leaving my lips once. He reached down, kissing my lips

"Tonight is all about you baby." He said

Who knew the "bad boy" could have such a sweet side?

Guys I am so sorry I have not updated in ten days :( been so busy. 

I hope it was worth the wait. So I need your thoughts on something. 

Matt clearly is gonna find out at some point but would you prefer 

1- He catches them and freaks out, punching Matt and falling out 

with both him and Amelia? 

Or 

2- They tell him and he has the same respond 

or 

3- One of the bitches from school that wants Ethan sees 

Ethan and Amelia together and she is the one that tells Matt

or 

4- They tell him and he is OK with it?
