Chapter 46 - The unexpected

Amelia's P.O.V

Graduation was a week away, everyone was stressed out with everything, graduation, exams, exams results...the future, and everyone was losing their minds. We had all been that busy we have not really had much time to ourselves. Ethan and I had barley seen each other even though we stay in the same house, everyone was the same though, well the ones who actually care about things. The school week had ended and this time next week we will all be graduated. I was heading straight home, Ethan had to go home to see his parents, they eventually decided it was time they spoke after a few months, too me it was ridiculous how they could ignore him this way, too busy with their own issues to give a damn about Ethan. I know it was getting to Ethan but he has not been alone through it, he has had me, Matt, Paris, My aunt and also my father. He and my father has become close which I was glad of.

I headed out of school, I walked here this morning so would be walking back of course, I headed out the exit, through the parking lot.

"Hey baby." I hear

I looked up, seeing Ethan standing next to his car, waiting for me with a smile on his face. We had seen each other on and off today, not much though. I smiled widely, making my way over to him. As soon as I was close enough he pulled me into him, kissing me before hugging me close to my chest. I sensed there was something wrong with him. I looked up at him

"You OK my love?" I said stroking his cheek

"They cancelled on me, apparently they have better things to do." He said disappointed

"I am sorry baby." I said caressing his cheek

"It is OK, I am used to it. Can we get out of here...just you and I?" He asked hopeful

"Yes of course we can. What did you have in mind?" I asked

"I don't care I just wanna get out of here and be with you." He said

I knew he was hurting and if I could help him feel better then that is what I will do.

"How about we drive to the coast? Get pizza, ice cream and go skinny dipping?" I suggested giggling at the last part

I have never skinny dipped in my life, probably wouldn't but I knew that would make him smile. Ethan chuckled, reaching into kiss me again...this kiss deeper and longer this time. Once we pulled apart he rested his forehead against mine

"You always make me feel better baby." He smiled "Come on, let's get on the road." He added

I text my dad, telling him I wouldn't be back until later tonight. My dad had moved here with his girlfriend Sharron a few weeks ago, he was really happy and she seemed lovely. He was also OK with me to continue to stay with my Aunt and Matt. It was great to have him back in my life.

Dad: OK sweetie, you two have fun...be safe. I will see you all for dinner tomorrow x

Amelia: Always dad lol. See you tomorrow x

Ethan and I climbed into his car, Ethan putting the music on and placing his hands over mine. I could tell he was still hurting with his parents. I lifted his hand up, kissing his knuckles

"I am sorry they done that to you baby." I said

"It is OK. I don't need them, never have. All I need is you guys especially you and I will be OK." He said smiling at me "I love you Amelia." He added

"I love you too Ethan." I said back to him

Ethan and I arrived at the coast, it took us three hours to get here but it was worth it. We were currently sitting on the beach, eating ice cream. I was place between his legs, my back to his front. He nuzzled my neck, placing a soft kiss against the skin. I reached my hand behind me, running my hand through his hair and over his cheek, looking at him.

"Amelia I honestly don't know what I would ever do without you now, I hope you know that." He said "Don't ever leave me OK?" He added

Yes he was a sweetheart to me, he always was but he has never said anything like that to me, there seemed to be a fear in his eyes when he did. I had a feeling what his parents had done to him was what made him say this. I moved, turning around to face him, climbing onto his lap

"Ethan are you OK? What brought that on?" I asked "And I won't...promise." I added

"I will be. I guess this full thing with my parents has got to me more than I thought. Amelia you are the best thing I have in my life. You are the one thing that keeps me sane through it all. I can't ever lose you Amelia, it would kill me." He said

"Ethan baby I am not going anywhere OK? I love you. I know you have a lot on your mind, know you are worrying about everything but one thing you don't need to worry about is me OK?" I said

"You promise?" he said playing with my hair

"I promise baby." I said reaching in to kiss him softly

He kissed me back, smiling into the kiss. He pulled me into his chest, wrapping his arms around me tightly. I snuggled into his chest and decided I was gonna take his mind of everything.

"I think we should go swimming." I giggled

"What? That water will be freezing." He chuckled

I pulled away from him, getting to my feet. It was slightly dark by now, no one was around, we had the place to ourselves basically.

"I am sure I can change your mind." I smirked

He looked at me, wondering what I meant. I laughed, stripping my clothes off until I was in my underwear. I placed my hand on my hip, looking at him

"You gonna let me go in there alone?" I pouted

Ethan was laughing, shaking his head at me. He stood up, stripping himself down too. I whimpered as I admired him, he was very distracting...very beautiful. I gave myself a shake, heading down towards the water and running into it, squealing cause it was blooming freezing

"I told you it would be cold." He said smugly

"Shut up. It will pass. Now come on, don't be a pussy." I said

I ran further into the water before diving under the water, it never seemed as cold now. I came up, Ethan finally coming towards me. He swam towards me, pulling me into him

"You are crazy do you know that? And you said skinny dipping, this isn't skinny dipping." He laughed

"Yes my underwear is not coming off...nice try though." I said pulling away from him

I started splashing him, Ethan pretending to be mad when really he was having fun and started soaking me back. The two of messed around in the water, having fun and forgetting about all the stress. All of a sudden Ethan stopped, standing there, looking at me and not saying anything to me

"Ethan?" I asked confused

He motioned me to come over to him which I done. once I was in front of him, he reached in taking my hands in his, looking me straight in the eye

"I think we should get married." He blurted out "I don't mean right now, I mean after our year travelling before college. I love you Amelia and I always wanna love you. I don't expect you to say anything right now, I just wanted you to know that OK?" He said smiling at me

Did he just propose to me in a way? I stood there, shocked not knowing what to say. I was not expecting that when we came here.

I don't wanna end this book :( But I know I have too. 

I don't know if a sequel would be a good idea cause don't have the 

best  track records with sequels haha.
