Dying for love

"Virgil, run while you can!"

"No! I'm not leaving you!"

"Go!"

Deceit had attacked the mindscape and had turned into a huge beast. The bodies of Logan and Patton were lying on the floor covered in blood. Right then I saw Deceit slice Roman's chest with his claws and Roman fell to the ground. Blood was already seeping from his clothes and he barely looked alive. Suddenly my chest tightened and all I could see was red.

"I will kill you for hurting him Deceit!"

There was a flash of light and all i could feel was pain. When the light dimmed I was floating above the ground with demon wings and a tail. I felt something on my head and I discovered that I had sprouted horns. Without another glance at myself I flew towards Deceit and sliced his throat. he fell to the ground and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

I flew down to Roman and checked his pulse, but there was barely a beat. He streched his hand up to my face and brought my head down for a kiss.

"I love you....and i'm not afraid to die for love"
