Sophie sat under the Panakes contemplating her decision with Fitz
He promised her they could take it slow, wait until it wasn't so scary, that he would wait for her
She sighed in content then heard a a twig crunch behind her, she stood up quickly and whipped out a throwing star, tuning on her visitor
Keefe threw his hands up in surrender, looking slightly amused
''I surrender! Don't harm me I'm unarmed! I come in peace!'' He mimed the human hand symbol for peace, extending his pointer and middle finger, making a V

Sophie giggled and tucked away the throwing star '' hi Keefe''
She motioned for him to sit, '' what's up?''
Keefe's smile dimmed and he ran his hand through his hair rumpling it up even more, though it still looked amazing.
'' listen, I'm really happy for you and Fitz and the last this I want it to ruin it for you and my best friend, but I need to say something because I learned from experience that if I bottle it up, it will make me explode''

'' okay...'' Sophie said warily

'' okay, here goes, Sophie, I, .... I um,'' a blush spread across his cheeks
'' I'velikedyouforareallylongtimeandiknowitsnotfairtoyoutosaythisbut....'' He stopped and a flash of determination crossed his face

Without warning, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to Sophie's, she squealed and her first though was to pull away but before she could, she realized how soft his lips were, softer than she had imagined

Wait, WHAT! She thought

Then he pulled away and got up, '' I'm sorry but I needed to know''

As he walked away a million thoughts swarmed Sophie's head and she couldn't process any of them, without thinking, she stood up

'' Keefe wait''

He turned around, a look of utter dismay on his face, but also hope
She liked that hope and him she realized, she liked Keefe

She pulled together every ounce of courage in her her body and closed the distance between them
She twined her hands around his neck and, as his eyes widened she stood on tiptoed and kissed him,

His reaction was immediate, his arms curled tightly around her waist and he kissed her back she felt him smirk against her lips and smiled to herself,

Who would have thought, this annoying boy? She pulled him closer, dismissing all the worries that were clouding her mind about how to explained this to Fitz. As they kissed  one of Calla's petals fell down on them, almost as if she was approving her choice.

Then out of the corner of her eye she saw something that made her pull away

'' run!'' She whispered to Keefe
He looked worried '' what's wrong?''
She grinned up at him '' Grady saw us''
His eyes widened and he didn't need to be told twice, as he held up his home crystal and slipped into the light, he caught a glimpse of Grady coming out of the house... With a frying pan!
