Chapter 5-Walking home

"Thomas?Thomas wake up."I hear a voice softly in the distance...
"Thomas..."

"Thomas!"
"Ahh what happen what the-"I get startled and I look up at the teacher.
"You fell asleep,you usually don't,were you doing something last night?"
"Um I was Um.."
I remember that I was swinging around the city at midnight to make sure nothing goes down.
"Doing homework because I got home late,yeah."
"Hmm make sure you don't get home late,it's dangerous at night time especially for a kid like you."

"Yeah sorry,it won't happen again...

Dr.Connors."

"Ok class as I was saying,in Tuesday if you remember I gave you a field trip slip for Friday and you should've gave it to your guardians to let you go,so right know I will collect it."

I pull out my field trip slip,I forgot that I left it in the kitchen table in Tuesday for my aunt to sign,she must have put it in my backpack.I pass it forward and so does everyone,Dr.Connor counts them.

"Looks like everyone is going to go,well I hope to see you all there tomorrow."
Everyone was happy and excited to go,the rest of the school day continued,after science we went to history and from there we were out.

I go down the hall and exit the building and I'm walking towards the main exit while I hear someone running behind me.I turn and it's,

Jazmine.

"Thomas wait!"she said while running towards me,so I stop moving.

She stands in-front of me and says,"Can we hang out right know if it's ok with you..."her voice fades out.

I nod as I'm weirded out because she is usually shy and nervous but I think she's more confident.

We start walking out side of the main exit and down the sidewalk and start talking,"So why did you wanted to hang out today?"I ask.
"Oh well because....um tomorrow it's the field trip so I wanted to know you more."she said looking at the ground.
"Yeah I can see why you will want too."We keep walking and we went to eat at a fast food place,surprisingly I had some money and just order the food and eat it,"I didn't expect us to hang out this much to be honest"She said while biting into the hamburger.

"Yeah me neither I thought we will just walk a little but it's cool"I said back smiling, she blushed when she saw me smile, and continue eating.

We finish eating and we were there for a while just talking about things, what I do mostly every day, but clearly I can't tell her that I'm Spider man because I barley know her for a little bit,so we go walking back and I'm walking her home,it's 7:00P.M.

"Man it's really dark now we should walk faster"I said.
"Yeah I'm sorry we took way too long"she said looking down.
"No it's fine, at least we got to know each other better, we will see each-other tomorrow so it okay."As I said that I pat her shoulder and she just startled.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm just Um...have a feeling I'm being watch"she said while looking around.

I get freaked out too because I'm getting the same feeling, we keep walking until we pass by a restaurant that has windows and I see a man behind us in the reflection of the glass, she didn't notice it but I did.

I move closer to Jazmine and I put my arm around her and pull her close."T-Thomas what are-are you doing?"she said while looking at me and blushing.
I whisper in her ear,"Ok listen, don't be freaked out,but there is a man behind us following us."She looks at me with shock,"What-What!"
"Sh,it's ok just keep calm and continue to walk,stay close to me it's gonna be okay"I said while looking around.

We keep walking and there was multiple alley ways where we go through and one leads directly to her house,"It's this one Thomas,or you rather go around."
"Let's go around I don't feel safe going through-"I get pushed away from her and I fall on the floor,it was the man,I must have lost track where he was,he was wearing black hoodie and pants and he grabbed
Jazmine.

"Leave her alone!"I screamed while on the floor.
Jazmine was screaming,"Thomas help me!"
"Oh keep quiet missy before I hurt you"he takes out a knife and points at her side,she doesn't say anything.
I get up and we are having a stand off,we were about 10 ft away.
"Let her go,she has done nothing."I said while stepping closer.
"Get back I say,you don't wanna do this kid"he said while stepping back.

What do I do, I can't get any closer unless I ran towards him full speed,but what will I do when I get there,I've handled people with guns and other things but that's when I had web shooters, and right know I don't have them on me.

"Jazmine do you trust me?"I said putting my hand up at her.
"Yes I do Thomas,help me."

I hear her telling me this, how can I be a hero without powers or even gadgets,no, I don't need all these things to become a hero, what matters is that you are doing something good and that's what makes someone a hero.Not powers,or gadgets, it's the fact you are doing something good for the people.

I run fast towards him,the fastest I ever have,the man lets her go and points the knife at me,I put my right arm forward and he stabs my right arm.
"Agh crap"I said while I keep on going.
While the knife is in my arm I move the arm back and with my left arm I punch him as hard as I can in his chin.If you punch someone in the chin,you will get all shocked and be dizzy from your head.
"Agh!"the man looses his balance and falls down in the floor and he hit his head back wards,he's out cold.
"Agh shit..."I'm still bleeding from my arm,I walk back a few steps and I fall down trying to take off the knife.
"One,two,three-AGH!"I said as I took it out,I took off my sweater and put it around it and tighten my arm so I loose less blood.
I'm sitting up on the floor looking at Jazmine and I say,"I told you that you can trust me"while Grabbing my arm and smiling.

She goes towards me with out saying nothing,she goes down and hugs me tight."You idiot...I do trust you but I didn't think you will do something like that!"she hugs me tight.
"I'm sorry,I had to protect you,so I had to do what I had to do, you know..."
She keeps hugging,"You idiot..."her voice fades slowly,we stay hugging for a couple of seconds,it was silent.
"Jazmine we should get you home"she stops hugging me.
"Yeah I know,okay let's go"She gets up and pulls me up and we walk down the alley why she's holding my arm.
We make it to her house and we're are in-front of the door,"So I'll see you tomorrow? Right?"I said.She hugs me and says "Yeah I'll see you tomorrow,and thanks for protecting me and I'm glad I'm alive."
I hug her back,"Yeah no problem well I will see you tomorrow."We stop hugging,"Bye" and she says bye too and I leave.

"Holy crap,what a night to remember."While im rubbing my right arm.
