Alexis' POV
I arrived at the Kent Farm. I got out my suitcase and walked into the house. "Anyone home?" I asked.
"Alexis," said Clark as he ran down the stairs to hug me. "I'm glad you're back."
"Glad to be back," I said. Clark has superpowers that only his closests friends and family know about it. "How's the powers? Get near any meteors lately?"
"Good and no," said Clark.
Mr. and Mrs. Kent came down the stairs and I hugged them. "I'm so glad to be back here with you guys," I said.
"I'm going to need your help with the wood," said Mrs. Kent. "So meet me in the front after you get done setting up."
"Yes ma'am," I said. Clark helped me to my old room. "Wow. This place hasn't changed a bit."
"Well, yeah," said Clark. "I don't live here as you know."
"How's the Planet anyway?" I asked.
"Busy," said Clark. "Speaking of which, I have to go."
"Go before you're late," I said. Clark disappeared in the blink of an eye. "Bye." I put my suitcase on the chair and opened it but I kept the cover closed. "Time to get to work." I walked outside and met Mrs. Kent. I grabbed the wood she already chopped up and put it in the stack. "I guess it's daily routine for me. I get here and get to work."
"It's always good to have you back," said Mrs. Kent. She started sawing another tree limb for fire wood. "How long are you staying this time?"
"A year and two months," I said speaking over the saw.
Lex Luthor walked up to her right when she turned around with the saw on. "Whoa!" exclaimed Lex. She almost sliced him in the midsection. "I come in peace."
"I'm so sorry," said Mrs. Kent as she turned off the saw. "I didn't hear you."
"I'm just glad you weren't welding," said Lex. He looked at me. "Hey Alexis."
"And he knows my name," I said.
"Small town," said Lex. "Anyways, Mrs. Kent, I need about thirty of your delicious blueberry muffins."
"That's a lot," said Mrs. Kent.
"I need them by tonight if possible," said Lex.
"Sure," said Mrs. Kent. "I'll be in the kitchen, if you need me, sweetheart."
"Okay, Mrs. Kent," I said as she left.
"What brings you to Smallville?" asked Lex.
"Well, I'm just here visiting Clark," I said. "And just here to be here. Traveling." I smiled at Lex. "I'm waiting till I'm twenty three so I can sign up for the FBI Academy."
"I have some contacts at the bureau," said Lex. "If you want, I can help with the training program."
"I'd like that," I said.
"Alexis, I can use a hand with the fruit," said Mr. Kent.
"Yes, sir," I said. "I guess manual labor is part of living here." I sighed. "By the way, a good fashion tip, you look better in royal blue, purple, and white."
"If you want, I have an extra room at the mansion," said Lex. "I'll swing by later to pick up the muffins but if you want, I can pick you up too if you want the room."
"I'll think about it," I said as Lex left. I helped carried the buckets of fruit into the house. "Is that all Mr. Kent?"
"For now," said Mr. Kent.
"Okay, I'm going to get changed and see if I can go and help Lana out at the Talon," I said. I went up to the room and changed into a white skater dress with with high tops. I put my hair down and loosely curled it. "Okay." I walked to my car and drove fifteen minute to the Talon. I walked inside. "Lana."
"Alexis," said Lana hugging me. "Glad you're here. We're short staffed." She handed me a dark green waist apron and I put it on. "Hope you're staying longer this time."
"Actually, I am," I said. "And I was wondering if I can keep this job until I hear from the bureau."
"Of course," said Lana. "The position is always opened for you."
"Thanks," I said as I started doing my job. "I can remember how to make these things."
Blake's POV
We were in Smallville. "Let's check out the Talon," I said. "Alexis said that it's where teens usually hang." We walked inside and spotted Alexis. "Alexis, what are you doing here?"
"Taking your order, I hope," said Alexis as we sat down.
"Is this job kind of test that Clark gave you? Be a waitress for a day?" I asked.
"Yes minus the test and Clark," said Alexis. "And day."
"So you're actually a waitress?" asked Drew.
"I even have the perky nametag to prove it," said Alexis pointing at her name stitched on the apron. "What can I get you guys?"
"Large tea, unsweetened with a lot of ice," said Drew as she got out her notepad and started writing. "You know me."
"Yes, I do," said Alexis.
"The cappuccino with the leaf design," said Devin.
"Times five," said Jayk.
"Coming right up," said Alexis as she put her pad back in the aprong.
"And book a gig," said Jonnie.
"You'll have to talk to Lana," said Alexis. "Lana, these gentlemen has a few questions for you."
"Yes," said Lana as Alexis left.
"We were wondering if we could book a gig here," said Jonnie.
"Of course," said Lana. "Does this Friday night sound good?"
"Yeah," I said.
"Alright," said Lana. "It's set."
She left. "She's pretty," said TC.
"She's single," said Alexis as she handed us what we ordered. "Britt said she'll join us after her movie is filmed which will be a couple months."
"Alright," I said. "That's cool."
"If you need anything, just ask," said Alexis.
"We'll let you know," said Jayk as Alexis left.
"This place is cool. The Egyptian theme is intresting," I said.
"Didn't know you were a history buff," said Drew.
"I read, you know," I said. "But this place is nice. I think it'll attract a lot of fans out here."
"We will," said Jonnie. "Alexis is free publicty."
"Yeah, but we won't have that once she starts working for the FBI," I said.
"Yeah, that," said Jonnie. "Why does she want to go into the FBI?"
"Because it's something I want to do," said Alexis. "Anyone need a refill?"
"No, we're good," said Drew.
"Alright," said Alexis smiling. The customers died down after a few hours. "I gotta start cleaning."
"You don't gotta worry about that," said Lana. "I got it. I'm closing up anyways."
"Thanks Lana," said Alexis. "You're a lifesavor."
"No problem," said Lana.
"I really hope you do get the FBI job," I said. "I want you to shoot for your dreams."
