Advanced Training

We got back and everything was the same except we got guns class back. We took more classes now. Like first we did aerobics, we always do that class, then guns, then Mech, then hand to hand, then pilot, then running.

Guns class was more fun than before because we got to customize our own Mechs with designs and guns. I picked armor piercing and incendiary ammo for the minigun and placed a second minigun on the wrist with the same ammo. I put heat seeking rockets and high explosive rockets in the rocket pods. In about a week we started using advanced guns like rail guns and laser guns.

In Mech class, we started training a lot more intensely. Like we have a bigger simulation room with harder enemies. We also got rifles for the Mechs so we could hold rifles in our Mechs hands. The rifles had a grenade launcher under it and was fully automatic. In the simulation room, we went against alien ships and vehicles. The infantry were aliens also. We had to kill them all as fast as possible. It got harder as time went on because the A.I. difficulty was put up gradually. Practice 12 was the most difficult one out of all of them so far.

Simulation Room: Practice 12

"Joan left flank!" I yelled over the gunfire.

"Got them!" she yelled back.

"Exxon look out!" screamed Emma as an alien animal lunged at me.

I pulled my knife out and stabbed it.

"Thanks!" I yelled.

"Dan look out!" I heard Natalie yell as I saw a missile from a ship shoot at Dan.

I shot the missile and Dan wasn't hurt.

"Thanks." he said.

"Mason do you read?" I asked over the comlink.

"Yep, airborne team here." he answered.

"We need you to take out a ship for us." I said.

"Where?" he asked.

"In front of us, it almost got Dan." I answered.

"Ok, will do." he said.

I saw a barrage of rockets hit the ship and it went down. We completed the mission.

NEW MISSION OBJECTIVE: INFILTRATE BASE.

Came over my HUD as the ship went down.

The base was about fifty meters away. That's not a problem.

"Come on guys!" I said. I was the leader because I was the best ground Mech driver. My second in command was Emma. The leader of the airborne Mechs was Mason, the only one out of us six who was an airborne Mech.

We have made some new friends. We got to know Mason's second in command, Anya. She was tough thow when it came to fighting or dogfights.

There is also marine Mechs now too that are sealed so they can swim underwater. they are equipped with torpedoes and harpoons. They train in the huge pool inside the school.

We made to the base easily but it was heavily guarded. We first thought we were going to fight our way in but we realized there were too many aliens.

"So what do we do?" asked one of the drivers, Elliot.

"I say we take out the columns out front and rush in the main entrance." I suggested.

Let me lay the building out for you, it has about ten columns in front supporting the overhang. If those go down it will kill a bunch of aliens. But our way out is blocked and we could die. There are also four towers on the corners. Those have mounted turrets on them. There are windows everywhere with snipers probably in them. Ships are circling overhead. There are a buch of fighter ships, probably for our airborne. There are ground attackers with bombs and rockets on them. We have to take on all of this to get inside.
