Ch. 34

                                         It was a nice quiet morning. The sun was slowly rising when Deans morning alarm started blaring. Dean quickly shot awake and reached up to turn the alarm off. By now all four of the rooms occupants were awake. "I guess I'll make us one last breakfast then I'll pack my things and get ready." Marie stated with a sigh. "Yeah sounds good. Can I help?" Seth asked with a puppy dog face. Marie giggled at his silliness. "Of course Sethie. I'd love the help." As they headed to the kitchen she asked, "What would you boys like to eat? It can be anything today will be out cheat day OK!" The three men looked at each other thinking. Roman was the one to reply "Surprise us?" He asked. Marie nodded her head before taking a moment to think about it. "Hmm. How about bacon and egg sandwiches with a side of Indian corn and to add some sweetness I'll make blueberry and pomegranate smoothies?" She asked hoping it would be OK. Dean was the first to speak, "OK sandwiches and the smoothies I get, but what the hell is Indian corn?" He asked with a confused look on his face. Marie chuckled at the adorable look on his face. "It's just corn mixed with a bit of chunked ham or pieces of bacon and mixed spices. My mothers friend made it one time for a get together and I fell in love with it. I begged her for the recipe. I was mostly gonna make that for me but you guys can feel free to try some!" "I'll take some. It's been a while since you last made any of it." Roman stated with a smile. "Alright sounds good. I'll get started then."

"Seth don't forget to put the lid on the blender this time!" Marie shouted as she finished wiping up the last batch of smoothie off her face and out of her hair. Seth whined but did as she said. "Well it's not my fault Dean decided to distract me and making me forget to put the lid on before turning the damn thing on!" "Why? Because you're clearly not a grown adult who can choose to ignore Dean." Roman stated as he finished rubbing the smoothie mixture off the walls and countertop. "Yeah what Roman said." Dean piped in while finishing mopping the floor. "Shut up Ambrose!" All three shouted before cracking up and laughing. "Oh sure laugh it up!" Dean grumbled before cracking a smile of his own. "Alright since the foods done, Im'ma quickly go get washed up and ready. I expect to have a smoothie and not another mess to clean up when I get back!" Marie joked as she headed to go get ready.
