Ch. 49

                       When Shadow was making her walk back to the hotel, she passed by a group of men, As she passed them they all started to cat call and follow her. Shadow had dealt with cat calling before and chose to ignore it, but then one of the men grabbed her wrist and forcefully made her stop and turn around. "Listen here you b*tch, I was talking to you." Shadow knew he was gonna leave a bruise on her wrist with how tightly he was holding. "No you listen here asshole, let me go now!" She stated giving him a deathly glare. The man just tightened his grip harder. "Look here boys. This kitten thinks she's a tiger. We-" "I believe she told you to let her go!" They heard a voice call, before they all turned to see a man walk up to them.Shadow know immediately that the man before her was none other then Finn Bálor. His eyes met hers and widen in shock. "Marie?" (A/N: So I don't remember if he was ever actually properly introduced to her in the earlier chapters but we're just gonna say that he at least knows her name and that she's Roman's sister.) he asked, before turning to look at the men surrounding her. "I suggest you let her go now before we have a problem." The group of men stood quite for a minute , before bursting into laughter. The leader stopped laughing before stating, "What are you gonna do about it, boy? Get lost before you get hurt." Finn sighed, he had enough of these idiots. He quickly attacked the leader, who thankfully let go of Shadows wrist in order to properly fight back. While that was happening, Shadow turned to the other men who were trying to get in on the fight. Shadow started taken them down one by one until all of them were taken care of. She turned to Finn who had knocked the leader out and was watching her in awe. He chuckled before approaching her. "Did your brother teach you them moves?" Shadow smiled, "Among others." "I was gonna grab some food when I saw you and wanted to help. Didn't expect you to be Roman's little sister though. If your headed to the hotel then I'll walk you back. I realize you can take care of yourself, but I would just feel better if I did." Shadow smiled. "I'd appreciate that. Why don't we stop at a restaurant and grab some food first. It can be my way of thanking you?" "Sure, but today is my cheat day, so you can't tell anybody, OK?" Shadow chuckled, "Promise not to tell." he held out her pinky and Finn linked his with hers in a promise. "Let's go!"

After making a stop at Chick-fil-A to grab some take out, they finished the walk to the hotel, all the while enjoying their conversations. "Do you want to come up to the room?" I have a project I want to work on, but to be honest I'm enjoying our conversations. Apparently we have a lot in common." Shadow asked politely and a little shyly. She never really had many friends, even as a child. Finn would be the first possible friend that she could make all on her own, without her brothers help. Finn thought about it for a minute, "Sure. I'm enjoying myself as well." Shadow swiped her room key as they made it to her room. "So what project is it, if you don't mind me asking?" Shadow hesitated for a moment, "I recently started dating my first ever boyfriend. He's really sweet and caring and there are so many great things that I love about him. He doesn't see that though. I thought maybe I wasn't showing him enough lobe or I wasn't doing it right. I decided last night, after a conversation I had with him, that I will make him a gift to show him what I think about him." She blushed at hearing how cheesy that sounded out loud. Finn chuckled, "Don't be embarrassed. I think it's cute. I would love it if someone ever did that for me. I'm sure your boyfriend will appreciate it as well." Shadow smiled, "Thanks Finn. You're a good friend!"
