They ask you out

Jim:
Jim walked slowly over to your office in the GCPD rehearsing the lines in his head 'y/n will you go out with me? No that's to straight forward. Hey y/n do you wanna go out for coffee some time? No that's to friendly. Hey y/n do you wanna catch a film tomorrow? Yes perfect' he mumbled to himself as he knocked on your door. 'Who is it?' He heard your soft voice through the thick door 'um. It's Jim' he said clearing the lump in his throat. 'Hey watsup Jimbo' you asked grinning at him 'nothing just wanted to talk' 'oh cool' you replied smiling sweetly at Jim. 'So um y/n' he said clearing his throat 'do you wanna get coffee sometime. I can give you a proper tour around Gotham if you haven't already seen it all' you looked up at him 'really? That would be great I would want nothing better than to do that. You have been such a great friend to me thank you so much' you said sweetly hugging him. The word friend crushed Jim into pieces as he walked miserably back to his desk. He sat down deflated which earned Harvey's attention. 'Yo why the long face' he questioned. Jim sighed rubbing his face 'I tried to ask y/n out' 'and?' Harvey asked expectantly 'she friend zoned me' he said exasperatedly, Harvey laughed hard banging his hand on the table 'ha dude! What did you say' Jim sighed 'I asked her out for coffee and a tour around Gotham cause she is new and then she said that I have been a great FRIEND' he said dying inside from being called a friend 'I know something that will cheer you up' Harvey said chucking a flask. Jim groaned 'I don't want stupid alcohol I want y/n' 'well here I am' 'y/n!' Jim said getting up from his wallowing im self pity sitting stance 'hi!' He said cheerily 'hi. I was wondering what time you wanted coffee' you asked innocently 'oh right umm when do you get off?' 'Five' 'okay so we can just go straight to coffee unless you wanna get changed first' 'is this not date proof?' You said motioning to your sunflower dress/ jeans and grey hoodie(jumper if you want). Jim's eyes widened 'date!' He said a little surprised. You turned red 'yeah.. unless I misread that. I'm sorry I may of read into something that wasn't there' you said shyly 'no. No' Jim said quickly 'I thought I messed that up cause coffee seemed a bit to friendly' 'oh. I thought I screwed it up cause I accidentally friend zoned you' you said chuckling. 'Aww look at the two lovebirds' Harvey said patting Jim on the back 'well y/n I hate to tear him away from you but he was my partner first and I need help' 'yes no of course' you said smiling at the ground walking back to your office. You took one last glance back at Jim who stood transfixed staring at you with a massive grin plastered on his face.

Harvey B: he walked up to Jim nervous. 'Um hey Jim' he said. 'Oh hey Harvey' ' yeah no listen. Um I was wondering would it be cool if I you know asked out y/n' Jim put down what he was reading and looked at Harvey 'why are you asking me?' '  I wanted to make sure you where alright with it before I did. The last thing I want is a fight with you' ' alright yeah sure but I thought you didn't like y/n' Harvey looked baffled. 'No clearly not' ' well s/he thinks you don't like her/him cause whenever y/n goes near you, you go all quite and shit' Jim said laughing at his partner who was going red. 'Right Well. Where would y/n be?' ' at our house. I'll take you round after our shift' 'right cool' Harvey said awkwardly walking away trying to hide his excitement. The hour couldn't of gone slower but he managed to get by. He was rehearsing the words in his head as Jim drove them over to his house. Harvey walked through the door freezing at the sight of you. Jim rolled his eyes 'y/n Harvey wants to talk to you'. You sighed getting up from the couch. You walked over to Harvey and looked at him expectantly. He just stood there stuttering, rolling your eyes you started to walk away 'y/n wait' Harvey said desperately grabbing your arm. You stopped looked at Harvey then looked at his hand which was still clinging onto your arm whilst still remaining silent. 'Right' Harvey said letting good your arm. You moved yourself so you where directly in front of him. You stood there for a minute with your arms folded whilst Harvey stared at you 'well?''oh yes. Um I am sorry if it came across if I didn't like you. It's the opposite of that really you see the fact is that I really like you and I have never felt this way so I got scared. Bottom line is I like you so would you by any chance want to go out to dinner with me sometime?' Harvey asked hopefully. You looked down and smiled ' yeah okay' you responded to him walking off to your room. You looked back at Harvey one last time who looked shocked you would actually agree to go out with him
