It was the voice of a woman, that had waken her from her sleep.

"You're going to be fine, you need to rest." the woman had said.

Selina could feel herself fighting to awake from the deep sleep she was in. She could feel herself attempting to fight off the drowsiness that restrained her to the bed she laid on.

"No one is going to hurt you, that I can ensure you. Rest." the woman said.

But the more she fought to open her eyes, the more the drowsiness seeped in. She could no longer fight to keep them open. She drifted off into complete darkness.

And then from out of the dark, she could feel herself falling. The memories came flooding in, the leap from the building, Han being shot by Yaris, her encounter with Batman, but the worst, Lola. She could vividly see her hanging from the ceiling as Fong stood by with an evil grin. The menacing smile forever embedded into her memories. And then the screams came, the anger, and then finally, the rage. She could feel the rage burn in her blood. Yes, it was the screams that stirred her from her deep sleep.  But it was the rage that truly woke her.

Selina looked around the little room. Where was she? The pain shot through her arm as she tried to remove the sheets from up off of her. And when she looked at her shoulder, a few small stitches had laid perfectly in the place of where the opening had been.

Now was worried; where the hell was she really? Surely this was not a hospital, she would have awakened to her hands handcuffed to the side rails of a hospital bed and a police officer nearby. Hell, there would've been a detective ready to investigate her.

When Selina finally managed to get out of bed. Her bare feet had touched the cold cement floor. She made her way to the door and waited a few seconds before she attempted to open it. No noise, no commotion, nothing; just silence. A sense of relief lifted from her shoulders, when the door opened at the first twist of the knob. One thing was for certain, she was not here against her will.

Selina stood at the entrance of the door. She listened a few more seconds before entering the hallway - but nothing stirred about.

She stood analyzing her surroundings. She seemed to be somewhere underground. The brick walls and pipes that traveled above her, informed her of that.

"Where the hell am, I ?" Selina said.

"I see you are awake."

An older woman stood behind her.

"No need to be frightened." she said.

"Who are you? And where the hell am I?" Selina demanded.

The woman took a few a steps forward. In response, Selina had prompted herself in a defensive stance to forewarn her of any trickery she had up her sleeve. The older woman had noticed this response and had decided to not step any closer.

"Excuse me, I understand that this all must be confusing. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Dr. Thompkins. Leslie Thompkins."

"Well, that will explain the stiches. I suppose a, thank you is in order."

"You were badly wounded, when you came to me. And badly bruised I might add. Lucky for you, the wounds weren't that deep. But, your welcome."she said.

"Where am I?" Selina asked.

"A clinic of sorts...." she said.

"of sorts? What does that even mean?" Selina asked.

"Follow me, and allow me to show you."

Dr. Thompkins showed her around to multiple small rooms that had both clinic beds and regular sized twin beds in a few rooms. She showed her an exam room with multiple medical cabinets that seemed to be filled with what she presumed as medicine and tools.
