The explosion was heard throughout Gotham City that night. And when Holly Robinson was awaken from her deep sleep, she could see the fire in the sky. The sound of every fire truck and cop car making its way across town. She held Mercury close to her, as tears streamed down her face. Surely, Selina had made it out of there. She would be back. She always found her way back. Holly was certain of it.

But when minutes had turned into hours, and hours into days. And days into weeks. Holly had done what Selina had instructed her not to do - go looking. She searched every alley. She walked along the Gotham docks. She checked every tunnel and bridge. Holly had even made her first stop at Dr. Thompkins private clinic - but nothing.

Holly had become obsessed with the news. But there was never any updates. Not any new updates that is.

Finally, after days had passed. She knew she would have to move on. The yellow envelope sat on top of the kitchen table. Holly could feel the tears burns her eyes as her memory recalled the instructions Selina had given to her.

She had given her clear instructions if she had not heard from her. If she had not returned. And she had made her a promise.

After hours of mustering up the last courage she had left in her, Holly picked up the manila envelope that had an address on it.

1325 Evergreen St.

Apt. 12

Holly sat at the kitchen table, maybe if she waited just a few hours. Selina would come walking through those doors. But she never came.

Holly took a deep breath.

She knew what she needed to do.

And Holly would keep her word.

James Gordon waited on the rooftop of an old abandon apartment building in Crime Alley. Ever since the events at the old shipping yard, his connection with Batman had gone quite - until recently.

"I was worried for a second." James said aloud.

When he turned around, Batman stood a few feet away, cloaked in his usual black attire.

"Any updates?" he asked.

"Nothing. We've been at it for weeks now. We never found Fong's body nor Catwomans. But, we did receive a mysterious envelope. Evidence proving Han's involvement with the Lucky Hand. And we are in coordination of tracking down a Delphine LeBlanc. She fled the country the night Yaris was taken into custody. Seems, she was running an international human prostitution ring.  Were also tracking down a Marcus Guzman, who has gone silent. He may information on Fong."

"Keep me updated." Batman says as he turns towards James.

"Batman..."

He says nothing but makes eye contact with James.

"I'm glad you made it out of there alive."

He says nothing at first. Allowing the sounds of the city to fill the void between them.

"Me too. "

He turns and jumps off the balcony.

Flying into the night.

And disappearing into the dark.
