Selina was the master of the bullwhip. A weapon of choice she had grew to become proficient in over many years. But make no mistake, when it struck her opponents - the cries that left their mouth were nothing less than gratifying. She knew the exact pain they felt when they cried out. The years it took her to master her weapon had left her bruised and badly beaten on many nights. There was a price to pay for have mastering such skill as hers. In this case, the bullwhip. She could easily apprehend her enemies from a distance; especially when they were equipped with guns and knifes. She loved to see them scurry among her like little mice. And when she struck - she rarely missed.
Mr. Liu was rushed out of the warehouse by his men; his car screeching out of the parking lot as they drove off like a bat out of hell. Fong and his men were in a state of panic. But Selina had managed to take down one after they other. But as the smoke cleared the bullets started to fly left and right. Selina was fast but she knew this was going to get tricky. The sooner they could get a better view of her, the better chance they had of taking her down. She moved faster and quicker, dodging Fong's men and their bullets as she tumbled into the air taking cover behind one their cars.
Shit.
They had her surrounded.
She could hear footsteps approaching and the sound of machine guns being reloaded.
"Why don't you come out." Fong said. "You and I both know that there is only two options here. Either you come out willingly or....we make you come out."
Silence.
"I don't ask twice." She knew Fong meant it. This guy didn't play games.
"To surrender isn't my usual cup of tea. So ill have to pass on the offer." Selina said coolly. Selina was quick at the tongue. But right now she couldn't think of a plan to save her life - literally. If she made a run for it, chances are she would get shot by the first flying bullet.
Shit. She was in a real bind this time.
Fong commanded something to his men in Chinese.
Uh-oh this wasn't looking good.
"One." Fong said. "Two....."
And then from out of the shadows a voice spoke out and said, "Three."
The voice came from above. And when Fong and his men looked up they were greeted by the presence of a large black shadow of a bat. Selina could hear his men shriek out in fear as the Batman revealed himself into the light. When Selina peaked out she could see why they feared him. He was a giant compared to them. Fong was nowhere to be seen but this Batman flung these men into the air like they were nothing but weightless entities. She watched in awe as he punched his way through these men knocking them out cold; breaking their bones one by one. Hell, one guy had managed to shoot off a round at him and they bounced off him like nothing. He was bulletproof - now she was definitely impressed.
She was so mesmerized that she had managed to let one of Fong's men creep up behind her and strangle her by the neck. She squirmed as she struggled to get free of his choke hold. But as she mingled her way out of his grip, she greeted him with a high kick to the side of his head. She fell to the ground gasping for air.
Get your shit together Selina, now is not the time to let your guard down.
She quickly regained focus and made her way over to the shipping container where the women were being held captive. When she unlatched the doors, she could tell that the women inside were so weak that they barely could give her a reaction; it wasn't every day that a total stranger dressed in a black vinyl catsuit rescued you. The women took cover as they fleeted the scene.
When Selina turned around the Batman was standing just a few feet away from her. She analyzed him up and down. This man was all business. He was decked out in some form of black military armor with an even blacker bat symbol that spread across his chest from one end to the other. And had an overly large black cowl that draped to the floor.
"I had it under control." Selina said nonchalantly. It was all she could muster up. She never imagined that the day she ran into, the Batman, that she would be engulfed with such infatuation.
Silence.
"Cat got your tongue?" she said devilishly.
"Fong and his men are dangerous." he said. Now she could really tell he was all work and no fun.
"Maybe I do......dangerous."
"Dangerous enough to get yourself killed?"
"I said, I had it under control."
"Is that what you call, under control?" he said.
"I call it....playing with my food." she said.
He stood there in total silence.
"Fong and his men are bringing in innocent lives for human trafficking. Word on the street is...is that they were bringing in weapons into Gotham City and selling them to anyone who would buy them, primarily the Russian mob. Guess that was a lie."
"I'm aware."
"Are you? Well are you aware that they were conducting business with Han Liu?" she wanted to see how much he knew. "I may or may not have evidence." she teased.
"What kind of evidence?"
"Enough to lock up Han and Fong for a very, very, long time." Selina said.
"Hand it over."
"So demanding..."
"You're coming with me." He moved in closer.
"Not so fast tiger. I'm not exactly the bad guy here."
"Stealing isn't a crime?"
"And here I thought it was a sport." Selina said as she unraveled her bullwhip from her utility belt - swishing it into the air.
Selina could hear the police sirens in the near distance. Batman moved in to take her down. But Selina acted just fast enough to caution him of his next move. She swished and clashed her whip in to the air once more striking the ground near his feet.
"I won't go lightly Batman." It wasn't a threat it was a fact. She wouldn't succumb to any man. Let alone, the Batman.
Just then an army of GCPD police cars and SWAT vans were pulling in fast. Their sirens flashing in the dark.
In a second - his attention was elsewhere as he looked to see them storm in. But when he looked back she had long vanished into the cold night.
