Olivia:

After the tour was over, school was also out. Thank God we had somehow stretched the tour out to all day long so I didn't have to go to class until tommorow. I said goodbye and to Noah and then walked to the front doors. As I exited the school I checked my phone to see if I had any messages. Nope. Well that figures I guess. I did leave all my old friends behind at my old school and I didn't really get anyone's number today besides Noah's. I pulled up the maps app to remind me where my new house was. After all my mom and I had only just moved into the house yesterday. Today she also started a new job so I had to walk home since she wouldn't be home until later. I started walking in one direction before realizing my phone was lagging and told me to go the other way. I sighed and realized I must look like an idiot doing a whole u turn. Thankfully none of the other kids noticed me. At least that's what I thought. I heard a chuckle behind me as I walked on the sidewalk. I turned around to see the one and only. Shayne Topp.

"Lost?" He asks innocently.

"Uh yeah kind of, I only moved in yesterday" I admitted.

"Oh, well what's your address? maybe I can help, I've lived around here for most of my life" He said.

"You would?" I asked.

"Yeah no biggie, as long as you're cool with it" Shayne said shrugging.

"As long as you're not a serial killer or stalker" I joked.

"Nope no serial killer here" He said lightly laughing.

"Ok well um, I live at 5898 Munge Lane, I really should've paid more attention on the drive over" I said.

"No way" He said.

"What?" I asked.

"I live next door" Shayne said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yup, 5899 is me" He said.

"Crazy" I said.

What are the chances I thought to myself.

"Wanna walk home with me?" He asked.

"Sure" I answered.

"Cool" He said.

We were about to start walking when a hand snaked around his chest. I looked and saw Courtney.

"Hey babe, my mom said it's cool if I stay at your place until she gets off from work" Courtney said.

"Ok" Shayne said nodding.

"Who's this?" Courtney asked looking at me.

"This is Olivia, the new girl" Shayne said.

"Oh, right" Courtney said eyeing me up and down.

"She actually just moved in to the house next door to mine" Shayne said.

"Really?" Courtney said.

"Yeah, how cool is that?" Shayne said.

"So cool..." Courtney said.

"We were just about to walk home right Olivia?" He said.

"Uh yeah, right" I said.

"Ok, let's go" Courtney said.

Shayne nodded and we all began to walk down the block. The neighborhood that I didn't pay attention to much before was actually pretty nice. All the houses were two stories with nice windows. We finally reached the street of Shayne's house and my new house. We stopped in between both houses.

"You wanna come over and hang with me and Court?" Shayne asked.

"I uh" I began.

I saw Courtney staring at me.

"I can't, I have boxes left to unpack" I said.

That wasn't a whole lie. Plus I didn't get a friendly vibe from Courtney.

"Well maybe next time" He said.

"Yeah" I said.

"Well I'll see you at school tomorrow" He said.

"Yeah see you tomorrow" Courtney said.

We began to walk to our separate doors.

"Wait" Courtney said.

I turned and looked. I wonder what she wanted.

"Your new right?" She asked.

"Uh yeah.." I said.

Didn't we just go over this?

"Here, where's your phone?" She asked.

I pulled it out and handed it to her. She punched in some numbers.

"I put in my number and Shayne's" Courtney said.

"It's nice to have friends at a new place" She said with an emphasis on friends.

"Thanks" I said.

"No problem" She said returning to Shayne.

Shayne and Courtney waved as they entered his house and shut the door. I put my phone back in my pocket and unlocked the front door and went inside. There were boxes scattered around the house. Well I guess it's time to get to work I surmised.
