Luke's POV

I woke up with a massive headache and Carly curled up in a ball with her head resting on my chest.

I need asprin.

I gently moved her head onto the pillow.  She stirred and grumbled, but kept her eyes closed.  I remembered that she said she kept some asprin in her drawer in case she got a headache.  I shuffled over to her drawer with my head in my hands, and opened it and grabbed the tiny container, and shook it until two pills fell into my hand.

There was water on the nightstand, so I threw the pills onto my tounge and swallowed them down with water.  Carly was starting to wake up.  She patted the place where I was sleeping and when she didn't feel me there, she instantly sat up.  I walked over to the edge of the bed and leaned down to give her a small kiss on her head.

"I'm right here, baby" I said giving her a weak smile.

She smiled back, but then frowned when she saw that my hands were gripping my head, as I was trying to ease the pain.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, yeah.  I just have a headache, I took some asprin though, so i'm good."

"Okay, good" She says reaching up to my head, and rubbing my hair.  I close my eyes, because it feels good, and crawl over to her and spoon her.

"I'm sorry..." I whisper into her hair.

I know that I wasn't being clear as to why I was sorry, but she knew.

"I don't wanna loose you..." She says, swallowing her tears.

We lay like that for a litte while, and I hear her breathing steady, and I can tell that she fell asleep again.  It is only 7 anyways.  For some reason, I can't fall asleep again.  I remove my arms from around her, and carefully untangle our legs.  I can't leave her room to go and do anything, because her family is in the house also, and i'm not supposed to be here.

I decide to sit in the small sofa in her room, and check my phone.  I had no new missed calls, but I had two texts from each of my parents.

Mom: Lucas come home.  Where are you? You're not at your apartment.

Dad: Luke, your mother and I don't know where you are.  Come back.  We need to talk.

Me: No.  I'm happy for once in my life, not that you would care.

My mom responded back immediately.

Mom: Of course we care Lucas.

Me: My name's Luke.

Mom: I can call you whatever I want.

Me: Whatever Liz.

I knew she would hate being called by her first name.  She always hated it whenever I called her that.

Mom: You may not call me that, I am your mother!

Me: You can't call me Lucas, i'm your son!

I texted back sarcastically.

Me: Bye.  Don't text me or call me.

My phone beeped once more after that, signaling that I got a text, but I quickly shut my phone off.  Carly was begining to wake up again.  She brushed her brown hair out of her face, and stared at me with her grey eyes.  She could tell by the look on my face that I was upset.
