Then it happened.

Three days later.

Carly's POV

I was going to visit Luke again today.  I stopped by the local florist and picked up roses like I always do.  I placed the flowers on the passenger seat, and started driving.

The drive to Luke seemed to be getting longer and longer...

On the way to him I thought about all of the memories that we had together.  I remember them like they were yesterday.  I wish that I could bring them all back...

As I was driving, I turned on the cd player in the car.  It started playing the cd that Luke had made for me months ago when we first met.  I skipped around the tracks until I landed on one that brought back distinct memories.

I let it play out.

All I want is nothing more

Than to hear you knocking at my door.

Cause' if I could see your face once more

I could die a happy man I'm sure.

When you said your last goodbye

I died a little bit inside.

I lay in tears in bed all night

Alone without you by my side.

But if you loved me

 Why'd you leave me?

Take my body

Take my body.

All I want is

And all I need is

To find somebody

I'll find somebody...

I didn't realize I was crying until a tear hit my bare leg.  I quickly wiped the tear on my face away with my hand, smudging my mascara a bit.

I promised myself that I wouldn't cry anymore in front of Luke.  I promised.

I finally pulled into my destination and parked my car.  I took a deep breath and grabbed the flowers.  Slowly I walked the twists and turns to where Luke was.  When I saw him I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

I placed the flowers next to him, and started talking.  Hoping that he could still hear me.

"Hi baby...I'm here with you, I just wanted to let you know.  I just wanted to tell you that I'm so proud of you...I'm so proud of how hard you were fighting to stay with me," I couldn't help it, I started sobbing.  "A-and I just wanted to let you know that I miss you, and I always will.  Luke, I love you, forever..." I trailed off, not knowing what else to say.

I sat next to him for a few more minutes until I had the strength to move.

I stood up and wiped the dirt off of my skirt.  Slowly I walked over and kissed the stone, leaving a red mark on it.

"I love you coffee shop boy..."
