Awsten stepped into the small shop, his stomach feeling strange. Now that he was so close to meeting his online friend, anxiety had started building up in the pit of his stomach.

what if he doesn't like me?

what if he thinks I'm stupid?

what if-

get yourself together.

He inhaled heavily and exhaled, and then averted his eyes to one corner of the store. His gaze glanced across all of the tables, stopping to linger on one head topped with a mop of brown hair. Assuming that's Geoff, he made his way towards the table. He squeezed between a few other chairs, and gently tapped the boy on the shoulder. The other boy turned around, ocean blue eyes widening and a large smile tugging at his lips. Geoff shot up and engulfed Awsten in a hug.

Awsten was frozen. This was real. Geoff was real. He felt so many emotions burst inside him, the anxiety melting away immediately. His heart was pounding violently, and his mind was fuzzy. Finally, he managed to snake his arms around Geoff. He held on tight, tears picking at his eyes.

Upon feeling the light dampness, Geoff pulled away lightly, keeping his arms loosely around Awsten.

"Bub? Are you okay?" Geoff asked, forehead creased with confusion. Awsten nodded, using the back of his hand to wipe the tears off his face.

"Yeah.. Yeah I am." he smiled, heterochromic eyes shining. "I just.. I can't believe you're here. You're real and you're here." Geoff smiled widely and pulled Awsten's body against his again. Geoff burried his face in Awsten's hair and simply muttered out:

"I am. I am. And so are you."

"Yeah." Awsten whispered and pulled away. "C'mon, let's sit down."

Both boys sat at the table, where they proceeded to drink coffee, and talk about nothing and everything at the same time.
