Awsten tapped his feet against the wooden floor, his right hand swirling the straw of his drink as he stared at the entrance of the store. He'd arrived earlier than Geoff this time, and despite it not being the first time they've met, he was still quite nervous. Time was passing ridiculously slow, however, and he didn't like it one bit. The clock kept ticking, and Awsten averted his gaze to the wall in order to watch the long, black hand slowly progress.
Suddenly, he heard the screeching of wood against the floor, and his gaze landed on a black and white striped top. The owner of the article of clothing sat down opposite Awsten, and Awsten just took a second to admire Geoff. His hair, his eyes, his skin.
"Earth to Awsten?" Geoff said playfully, lips curving up into a smile.
"Yeah, yeah I'm here. Awsten to earth." Awsten rolled his eyes and smiled. "So what do ya wanna do? Chat shit about people whilst snapchatting our drinks?"
"Why would we do that?" Geoff looked at Awsten in a confused manner.
"To be like basic white girls." Awsten shrugged and Geoff laughed in response.
"Ah, of course." Geoff pulled his phone out and snapped a picture of Awsten's drink, which he then proceeded to post on his story. "There we go, step one completed."Awsten smiled fondly at the taller boy.
"Okay, now time for step two; photos of us with our drinks." Awsten smirked and Geoff giggled. "Go get something and I'll set up my phone." Geoff nodded and scurried off to the counter. Awsten opened the camera app and adjusted the settings so that there was a 10 second timer. He grabbed a mug from the table beside theirs and leaned his phone against it, adjusting the angle slightly.
Soon enough Geoff came back with a dark coloured drink and laughed as he saw Awsten's phone.
"holy shit I thought you were joking." Geoff muttered.
"How dare you assume that I would do such a thing?" Awsten mocked offence and smiled. "Now c'mon, do a pose cause I'm pressing the button thingy."
He pressed the button and looked down at his drink, spreading his fingers out in a strange manner. Geoff placed one hand around the cup and let the other fall to his side. His head tilted lightly and he stared at Awsten. The timer counted down.
3..2..1.. flash.
The phone flashed at their faces, and then stopped. Both boys laughed and looked at the picture.
"Dude you look adorable." Awsten awed, staring at the photo. Geoff did look adorable.
Geoff blushed a crimson red and turned around, pretending to be interested in the wall. "I am not!" he objected.
"Shut the fuck up you are! You're so cute stop it." Awsten said in a playful tone. Geoff just turned a darker shade of red. "Are you blushing?"
The brunette hid his face in his shirt. "Holy fuck you're blushing!" Awsten laughed and smiled at Geoff. Geoff turned around and faced the wall again.
"No, don't be sad." Awsten frowned. "It makes you cuter."
Geoff was about to object, but Awsten shushed him.
"Whatever you say." He replied, tone weary and uncertain. Awsten just smiled and hugged him, muttering 'you're so cute' repetitively into his shoulder.
