Interview with afeliccitti

 "Secrets Left Neglected" Best Book

What inspired you to write "Secrets Left Neglected"?

I wanted to write a romance novel about two married individuals who are committed to one another, their marriage, and to over-coming whatever life throws at them.

I wanted to write about a health concern that isn't well know but which can be crippling to those suffering from the effects of it.

I wanted to bring awareness to the detrimental effects of blast injuries.

I wanted to honor the sacrifices which our veterans make daily on our behalf.

Why did you choose the sport rugby?

It's not talked about much.

It's a tough sport.

Head injuries (among many others), can occur easily. Since this novel is related to someone with a head injury, it fit.

The main character could perhaps be even more prone to future injury given his past (prior to his enlistment in the Marines) as a sports athlete.

How did you come up with Tadhg and Caoilainn's characters?

They developed from the other half of this series, in the book "There Are No Words".

As I wrote that novel, these two's story started to beg for a voice and thus "Secrets Left Neglected" was born.

Caoilainn has voiced her opinions on marriage. What exactly are yours?

Caoilainn and I share our opinions on marriage.

What is your advice to writers who like writing romance and other novels?

Write from the heart. Write from a hopeful point of view, while recognizing realities.

Do something each day, no matter how big or small, to support your writing dreams.

Believe in your own future success.
