"You going on the trip?" Kyoka asks. She's claimed Kaminari's seat as her own and the blond boy didn't even argue. In fact, he smirked and told her that she's more than welcome to keep it warm for the rest of the year. He received a gesture that relied heavily on Kyoka's middle finger.
Emi stares at her in confusion and racks her brain for any mention of a trip, anything. But she is a lost cause. It seems that her wandering thoughts are revealed to the shorter girl as she sighs and smiles fondly at her airhead of a friend.
"There's a trip to this resort I guess?" She shrugs. "Apparently, it's more of a training thing than a school activity but that's to be expected."
"Do we need permission for that?" Emi asks, brow furrowing in oncoming distress. If so, then guess who's not going.
"From our parents you mean? I'm pretty sure the school calls them."
"Yeah, okay." Emi runs a hand through her hair but then gives up on reaching the ends of the strands as her hand gets caught in a knot like always. She doesn't know why she tries.
It won't matter if the school itself has to get permission. Emi hasn't spoken to her mother since she's told her to move out and doesn't intend to until her demise. It's sad to think about. Every time Emi acknowledges her relationship with her mother, an empty feeling residing inside of her makes itself known. An empty cold feeling that only strengthens when Emi tries to recall any good memories with her mother only to be reminded where the scar on her leg comes from. It runs from the back of her knee to her ankle bone. She doesn't wear leggings or socks and she's surprised that no one has asked her about it. Then again, nobody asks about Todoroki's scar. But that could be because of the unapproachable aura that emanates from the boy.
"Emi!" Kyoka groans and lightly smacks her hand on top of Emi's head. "Stop thinking."
"I wish I could be like Kaminari-san and say it's easy."
"Hey!"
"Why're you eavesdropping?" the purple-haired girl snaps and turns around in her seat. Emi could spot the lightest shade of red on her cheeks.
Meanwhile, Kaminari looks like a kicked puppy and pouts. "I was just waiting for you to be done so I could ask you something!"
"What?" Kyoka struggles not to smile and Emi almost smirks before tuning both of them out. It's sweet seeing her classmates having crushes on each other but she's afraid it would be contagious.

"So what are you packing?" Izuku asks as he lounges on the couch in her bedroom.
It has become a common occurrence for them to hang out at her place after school then have dinner at his place. Izuku built an immunity to the whole 'my first time in a girl's bedroom' thing which relieved Emi because it was starting to get weird. Like she didn't know that the thing was more huge than it seemed to her. After voicing her thoughts, Izuku quickly reassured her that overreacting runs in his family. Speaking of family, his mother has finally loosened up after a couple more dinner invitations. Emi has started calling her Inko so that should be a good thing.
